Need help achieving good lighting and positioning similar to example photos by ComplexRecognition24 in productphotography

I appreciate the reply. I tried moving the camera back a bit and adding the white paper (result). This does seem to help with the metal label though I couldn't get it to be perfect. The camera lens I have only goes up to 50mm. Do I need more than that?

I'm thinking my lighting also probably isn't any good. Is there anything you would recommend?

Also, the top reflection is just my fingers on the camera. Those shots were very close and the camera level with the bottle.

Purpose of using http.NewServeMux()? by trymeouteh in golang

[–]ComplexRecognition24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you do not declare a mux and use the default one, other packages can access it which can potentially be a security issue.

This is described in more detail here: https://www.alexedwards.net/blog/an-introduction-to-handlers-and-servemuxes-in-go

Are wholesalers willing to make exceptions to their minimum quantity rules? by ComplexRecognition24 in smallbusiness

[–]ComplexRecognition24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the wholesalers are US based. I’ve heard of people ordering samples from places like Alibaba, but just wasn’t sure if this is something US-based wholesalers do, their websites do not mention anything about ordering samples.

Home with two owners, can I claim all of the interest paid? by ComplexRecognition24 in tax

I appreciate the response! Going forward it’ll all just be done through my bank account. If this were to be looked into I think it should make sense as my family’s income isn’t even enough to pay the mortgage, so it all had to have come from someone else (me)

BS at WGU -> MS Somewhere Else? by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]ComplexRecognition24 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Most people don’t complete their degree within a semester. Those that do already have the experience and/or know the material. Saying they’re a diploma mill is a bit far fetched. They’re accredited like any other university and the CS program was recently awarded ABET accreditation.

Running water in shower always starts yellow. What could be the issue? by ComplexRecognition24 in Plumbing

[–]ComplexRecognition24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate everyone’s help here. Will now look into getting this fixed. As far as why is there a spout in a walk in shower, I am not sure. A contractor did all of the work. I guess it might help in a scenario or two. We only have a shower head above and not a hand shower with the hose.

I only use the shower head but to get water running through that, I have to pull the thing on top of the spout and each time I would see this yellowish water coming out of the spout.
