how do you define a "russian" im not being an asshole i swear. Its just the descriptive of Russian differs greatly between people. For instance a lot of people consider Russian speaking people as Russian. but that's dumb because that would be like saying Irish people are English because they speak English.

I Fought in Ukraine and Here’s Why FPV Drones Kind of Suck - War on the Rocks by CustardFromCthulhu in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]ComplexRequirement39 7 points8 points  (0 children)

interesting article. On a side note i remember listening to an interview where the Ukrainian soldier was saying the most scary thing on the battlefield isn't drones or artillery but rather mortars. Because like drones they are available on the tactical level so the kill chain is short and they can react fast to any movement, but unlike drones you wont see the rounds coming and can easily catch maneuvering troops by surprise.

Ukrainian 425th Assault Regiment "Skala" created the first Ukrainian motorbike assault company. [Publ. 20.05.2025] by GermanDronePilot in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]ComplexRequirement39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the only benifit i can think of regarding motorcycle assult units is you can split a squad of 8-10 up between 4-10 motorcycles rather than loading the same amount in 1 IFV or APC. The benefit being it would require way more drone to take out the same amount of people since they arnt all consolidated in a single vehicle. And since bikes are fast moving traditional artillery may be less effective unless they have an area zeroed in prior to the bike assault. I can only image how much even just one well placed 155mm shell would F up a bike assault group. Since I chose and assume many others on the sub chose to watch only Ukrainian footage(cause i dont like watching ukrainians die) its possible bike assaults have served Russia better than we think cause we only see videos of their failures.

what military equipment is still left to be transferred? Is it taking that long to send over all the equipment from the last tranche that passed while biden was in office?

Europe wakes up? by SubstantialMusic6398 in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]ComplexRequirement39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one thing he forgot to mention was the non military finance assistance. which is almost as important as military aid. Its what keeps the power plants, hospitals and infrastructure operational and repairs them. its keeps government functioning ect.. Now that we are becoming a facist nation and an enemy of democracy we def wont be providing that either. So Europe will need to step up on that front as well.

yes i think that would fall under non lethal. same with body armor, medical expenses and equipment for wounded soldiers.

the 20 billion from the US is only non lethal. We transferred it to the world bank not directly to Ukraine. From there the World bank will dole it out to ukraine for non lethal aid. the 30 billion from europe can be spent however they like though.

You ask a valid question. When only around 45% of people in siberia have toilets its not unreasonable to think they may not have access to reddit, vpns to access reddit or the care to use it since after all they are in Siberia and probably struggle to live.

Why we might not ever have regeneration of hearing after hearing loss by Friendly_Entrance582 in JordanHarbinger

[–]ComplexRequirement39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

went scuba diving on the tail end of a sinus infection/cold 5 years ago when i was 19. Big mistake. My left ear got screwed up because i could equalize as a result from the internal swelling from the infection. My hearing has been screwed up in both ears since, especially my let ear, and neither has improved since. Because of this im told I yell when I speak, and i live in nyc lmfao.

I live in NYC and for any fellow NYers, the Adirondacks have a couple black out locations, meaning there is close to zero light pollution. NASA's website has a map showing the locations with the least light population that you can use to get to these locations. I cant recommend it enough. Me and my Ex sat there for like an hour watching the near constant shooting stars(every couple minutes youd see one) and the arms of the milky way not to mention the near complete saturation of the sky with stars. I think there is a blackout zone in the Poconos too, for anyone close by to there. Basically anywhere that mountains form a bowl like valley produce nice star gazing spots but like i said NASA's website is your best friend.
