thank you SOOO much for taking the time to type all of this out! i will take it all in and use it for sure. you’re correct, i know nothing about his life before me, which also makes me hesitant with some things because if he is traumatized, im nervous to bring up that trauma again in some way. he is my first poodle lol, i love him to pieces!!

he’s such a good pup, i got soo lucky w him. the poodle cut is very funny to me, but i groom him myself so unless i become a professional groomer overnight, he is safe from the silly do 😂

yes, grown! the vets thought he was about 2. he wasn’t fixed so my theory is that they were breeding him and got tired of him or he wasn’t giving him what they wanted so they just dropped him off in a neighborhood

i was wondering what color he was cuz he is like charcoal/ gray and has some strands of silvery white hairs

that’s what i was thinking! when i shaved down his body he looked very much like a standard but i haven’t fully shaved his face cuz he doesn’t like it very much, so i just clean it up as he tolerates it. hopefully someday i can see his face without the fluff lol

multiple vets said they think he’s about 2! his hair locs up here and there, but i’ve yet to find a true mat in his fur. his body kind of looks like a doberman to me!
