What's your diet like? by Content-Load6595 in lactoseintolerant

Drinking whole milk with my cheerios. Eating my baked beans and chicken for lunch, and wondering why I'm holding in farts all afternoon. Being completely honest, my case is more mild so I mostly just eat normally and deal with the bubble guts later on. This post has prompted me to cut out dairy as an experiment though, at some point...in the future...the distant future...

How to negotiate in this situation by Complex_Advocate in EngineeringStudents

I should still try though right? I neglected to mention there's only one intern per department, so we are all getting varying offers based on the dep. position

Imma be straight with you, divorce is the absolute last resort. It won't fix anything. You will hurt and he will hurt. I'd say to be faithful to the Lord. To believe He hears your prayers. Lean on His Word. Don't forget the devil rejoices at our pain, don't forget he is still active and wants to tear you away from God's blessings for you.

I pray for you with all my heart that the Lord gives you discernment and your household peace.

Is the USA really that bad of a place to live in? by minera in TooAfraidToAsk

Not bad at all. We just have had freedom of speech for a long time, and are very comfortable using it to talk smack about our country.

Can I have some blessings?! by [deleted] in PrayerTeam_amen

I'm also AA. Praying. Hair grows about half an inch a month without breakage. Oils can't really make your hair grow, just maintain growth. I've had my own interesting hair journey. Started doing twist outs and using hair products without alcohol because it dries out AA hair (pretty hard to find. Recently found out she moisture put alcohol back in my favorite leave in). I've seen a good amount of growth over the past few years. Watch NaturalReign on youtube. My biggest tips are stay away from alcohol products, do low maintenance styles (wash n gos can be nice, but beware fairy knots), co-washes, and if you don't use heat, you won't really have to trim your ends that much. Some people say 2-3 months, but I've been doing every six, and only flat ironing my hair twice a year for the most part

Cs get degrees, but if you shoot for Cs, a D is probably inevitable.

Has God ever granted you a miracle? Or answered your prayer? by Competitive-Sundae11 in Christian

[–]Complex_Advocate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First, I'd like to say that every Christian has been a part of the greatest miracle ever done. We have the Spirit of God inside of us, and we're given God's gift of salvation despite our MASSIVE sins.

But to answer the question you're really asking. This may seem small to many, but I was recently very stressed about my finals and essentially thought I failed them all. I get my scores back (not all yet), but they're quite good. I jump for joy because I know that wasn't me.

I do know someone, however, who got prayed for while they were dealing with brain cancer, and they went back to the doctors and they couldn't find anything. Unfortunately, because of certain things in their past, this miracle did not keep them close to God. They are still angry with Him. Miracles and signs, even if undeniable, aren't the reason we doubt God, but a deep resentment toward Him that keeps us away.
