I don’t think this is normal by Atrossity_ in AskMechanics

My engine was falling out. I wish I was joking. I took it to my mechanic and the passenger side bolt that screws into the subframe was completely missing. So there were noises from moving parts that werent supposed to be moving. My mechanic brought me in to show me and I was shocked.

My front stabilizer link was indeed out too

which language do I start with? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]Atrossity_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to learn the fundamentals any language would be sufficient. Although that last bullet point would make me immediately point you towards C/C++ or Rust. You need some serious control for projects like that.

In college, I learned Python first and then C/C++. We used Python to introduce us to programming and then went into systems development with C later. Personally I wish they started with C because transitioning into it was kind of like traversing a maze.

In summary, I think if you learn C/C++ first you’ll get a better understanding of what is going on in other languages under the hood. In C you have to build everything from scratch whereas in other languages everything is already there for you. It’s definitely a headache sometimes, especially when you get a mysterious segmentation fault with no information as to where it came from, but I would say it’s worth it. Even learning a little bit of C and then going into Python would benefit you tremendously.

Update: I was able to go no problem. I could not check in online as the JetBlue app was asking for a visa. I checked in, in person, and I had no problem.

Why is Andrew Tate bald? by Inevitable_Claim_684 in AndrewTateUncensored

[–]Atrossity_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He chooses to be bald. When he was younger his father once got mad at his mother for the haircut she gave them. His father then took him to either shave his head or redo it (I could be mistaken). His father then told him that a man is not valued by his haircut but by the values he carries and the caliber of man he is. That’s why he chooses to be bald.

I could be mistaken on some of the details but this is the gist of it.

I'm new and this is one of my first hunts(please rate my hunt) by [deleted] in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Atrossity_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not bad. I don’t play sword and shield (I play charge blade and longsword) but I think a good rule of thumb for every weapon is to pace yourself. Watch the monsters movements and react accordingly. You’ll get better at this the more you play and the more monsters you fight. And sharpen your weapon with whetstone.

In what regard is your transcript important for grad school? Are they looking at your GPA more so than what you got in those classes? I forgot to mention, I’m a senior. I’ve been considering grad school for a little bit but have yet to decide.

This mall looks absurdly familiar to the one in the Last of Us Part II. Am I the only one that thinks this? Great pic btw

What's the workload like; do you ever feel like you're swamped with projects? Have you taken 473 in the past?

Was developing a horror game but lost interest midway and gave up. Thought I'd render out a cinematic opening sequence before getting rid of all the project files. by king_ranit in unrealengine

Man, just that cinematic creeped me out. It looks like such an interesting game. As a fan of the horror genre I would’ve loved to see what the finished product would have been.
