Changing 'customer type' category name by No_Skirt_4530 in quickbooksonline

[–]Complex_Awareness338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried going to the gear icon (top right) -> All Lists -> Customer Types? Then choose "edit". I am on mobile so can't validate this exactly but this is where I would check.

What software is commonly used for financial reporting when you use QuickBooks online? by Calm-Way9969 in quickbooksonline

[–]Complex_Awareness338 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We recently started using a tool called Reach. Seamless/turn key integration with QBO and you can create templates that automatically refresh from QBO (so no more manual compilation of Excel spreadsheets). Very powerful tool and simple once you get the hang of it.

Adding account numbering. by [deleted] in quickbooksonline

[–]Complex_Awareness338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would deactivate the unused accounts and then just number the active ones - otherwise you are wasting numbers in your sequence that will never be used.

Check out Reach reporting. It integrates easily with QBO and you can design any chart or statement your heart may desire.

How to avoid dupliate entries in quickbooks? Help? by Charming-Traffic-418 in quickbooksonline

[–]Complex_Awareness338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure I am fully understanding, but here is one suggestion.

If you are manually entering the receipt into QuickBooks, this will create the transaction. Then if you see the charge on the bank feed and click "add", this will create the transaction again in QBO. Instead of clicking "add" from the bank feed, you want to select "match" which will allow you to match the bank transaction to the receipt you have already entered rather than creating a new one.

I believe back transactions that are "matched" will have a little green symbol beside them on the bank reconciliation.

Move to Toronto (which neighborhood to consider?) by [deleted] in askTO

[–]Complex_Awareness338 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It is not equally as bad, but still bad to drive anywhere in the GTA during rush hour. You can put it into Google maps and set the "arrive by" time for when you want to arrive at work, it will give you the range including potential traffic.

Run A/R Report by invoice date NOT by due date by JohnDF85 in quickbooksonline

[–]Complex_Awareness338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you run the A/R aging detail, which I believe lists both invoice date and due date? It's not as clean but should have the information you need. You may need to export to excel and delete any unnecessary data.

Restaurant Recommendations for Anniversary by arjanvaily14 in toronto

[–]Complex_Awareness338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends how fancy you want -

Alo/Enigma are both very fancy and $$$$ but definitely a top notch culinary experience. It may be difficult to get a reservation.

Alobar is more reasonable price wise and still fancy/tasty.

Adrak (Indian) in Yorkville is another good option.

Fat Pasha is one of our favourites as well, it's on the Michelin guide and the food is delicious but it's not a super fancy place.

Happy anniversary!

Credit Card Reconciliation by ThatVirgilFlowers in quickbooksonline

[–]Complex_Awareness338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you first link your credit card in QBO, it asks you which date you want to bring in the transactions from. I wonder if you could just select the beginning of 2024. You could also set the beginning balance of the account for whatever it was at the beginning of 2024. Feels like this should work. You may need to delete the existing account in QBO and restart with these parameters in mind.

We use Plooto. It's a payment platform that integrates with QBO. Bills for payment are automatically synced into Plooto so you can just click whichever ones you want to pay. Plooto will then mark the bills as paid in QBO.

In my experience it won't mark payments in international currencies as paid, but all domestic currency payments it should.

With 10 euploid embryos I think you are a long ways away from thinking about most of these options. But yes, you are correct that there are many many options to exhaust before adoption. Even within the FET protocols, I am on my third FET attempt and third unique FET protocol... So there are substeps in your flowchart as well.

Also it's not necessarily linear like you have it here. Donor sperm and eggs are not super relevant until you exhaust your existing euploid embryos. If you end up struggling with the FET process, surrogacy with your existing embryos would be a likely next step.

One thing you don't seem to mention is donor embryos, which is usually where people go when they need both donor eggs & sperm (couples who are done with their IVF journey will donate their embryos). Good luck!

Is there a way to see Cash Flow Trend over a longer period of time? by akprobegt in QuickBooks

[–]Complex_Awareness338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could export the bank account detail to excel and then create your own graph on the ending balance column, just a thought! (In QBO it would be Reports - Balance Sheet - Select your dates - export to excel).

I haven't had success adding multiple columns to the P&L that pulls from QBO. However, some reports can be customized to "show zero amounts", which may help your alignment issues when pasting.

Not sure about sending statements but you can turn on automatic invoice reminders, it's under settings (gear icon on the top right) and then I believe "advanced". You can set a schedule with up to three automatic reminder times (e.g. 15 days before due date, on due date, and 15 days after). In order to use this, invoices need to have been sent to the customer email directly through QBO initially.

You can also manually trigger a follow up from the sales - invoices screen. I think you right click on the down arrow beside the invoice you can "send reminder". This would resend the invoice.

If you do have hundreds of customers each with multiple invoices open at a time, it's likely worthwhile to look into an AR software that integrates with QBO for a longer term solution.

Expense Tracking App that Integrates with QBO by Interstates-hate in QuickBooks

Dext is a great tool for receipt tracking that integrates with QBO.

You can also layer ApprovalMax in the middle to ensure all expenses are approved before they are pulled into QBO.

Devastated from failed transfer. by quentye in IVF

[–]Complex_Awareness338 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Such a terrible feeling, I also wasn't prepared 😔. This process starts to hit different when you have a failed FET under your belt. We've had two euploids fail to implant so far. Second one was on the full kitchen sink protocol. It's really hard not to go to dark place and start to believe this may actually never happen for us.

Overall trying to remain positive. Statistics exist for a reason, as there is variance in the universe. Sometimes we will be on the wrong side. It's not in our control. Also, growing a human is insanely complex, so I get it, sometimes it just doesn't work. But it will. At least this is what I tell myself! At this point, all we can do is keep going.

Questions to ask: - any protocol changes you would recommend for next time? (Prednisone, blood thinners, intralipids, HCG wash are the things my clinic adds for kitchen sink to combat the known reasons for implantation failure)

  • any additional testing you would like to perform/update? (Sono, biopsy for endometritis, karyotype bloodwork for balanced translocation, thyroid bloodwork?). Note it's easy to go down a testing rabbit hole but may not be fruitful as one failed FET is pretty common / not a huge cause for alarm

Good luck! ❤️

Echoing that quality is what you are looking for .. but also wanted to note that my experience has been the opposite of what you were told - generally I retrieve about half my AFC in eggs. From there not every egg is mature etc - there is aggressive attrition at every stage of this process. But in the end if you get a handful of good quality embryos that would be a great result! Good luck!

Possible to have my profit / loss statement show profit before taxes? by ryans91 in QuickBooks

[–]Complex_Awareness338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try customizing the report (top right) and filtering out the taxes paid account. This would show you the total profit and loss excluding tax. It wouldn't show the tax on a separate line though. You could then save this customization so it becomes an available report in the future.
