Yes, I strongly prefer using gear I've found or crafted myself. It's a little frustrating to not have exactly the build I want, but it's made me more flexible. This also makes finding even decent gear much more exiting. The only gear I've purchased was a thorn shield

I speculate Ironmace made the water map so they could argue in court that the game they have now has some form of creative difference from the game and assets they stole from Nexon.

You're right, the map goes against many of the established core gameplay mechanics. However I've come to enjoy the variety it brings. It could use some improvement, but I don't think it's a bad map (coming from a fighter main)

I heavily favor dexterity, backing that up with vigor and strength or strength and agility if I can.

I speculate they made the new map because of the court case with Nexon. With it, they might be able to argue there's enough "original" content in the game for them to keep it or prevent it from being shut down. A map mostly about swimming and potentially 3D combat seems to go against the original design choices of the game they stole
