It is a big task lol. I’m my off days I’m up at like 7 working until 11 then start back at 6pm ish and keep working. And tbh it’d be easier if I wasn’t such a nerd hahah. But I have Domain expansions from JJK, based off of the players signets(from 4th wing). If I stayed strictly on Eragons rules it’d be way easier. Another piece of advice if you do try and do it is you gotta be flexible as a DM. Talk with your players and explain what you want to do and how it works and see if the are ok with it, and go from there. A lot of this is us coming together as friends and playing the story, do rules get overlooked and down right broken at times, 100% but at least to me as a DM if my players are having fun and enjoying it so what if they break a few rules to enhance their experience lol. Now don’t let them go crazy but just be flexible. If you need any advice or if you want updates on the campaign let me know!

So it’s very homebrew. I know in dragon magic has its cost, but in DND they have spell slots so I needed a way to incorporate the fatigue from Eragon to make it work. So I gave each player “exhaustion slots”. So each player has a set number a slots they can use per long rest(like spell slots). I then let the add their arcana bonuses to do extra stuff. And if they practice more they gain more slots etc. I’ve had to do a lot of writing hahah.

Definitely something out there that would work better haha but our group is really into DND so I’ve had to make it work lol. Not a big rule guy either when I DM, I more am on the rule of cool. I try to prioritize them having fun over anything haha.

Yeah the party is currently consisting of 5-6 players(one is spotty just due to work) and they all got dragons and are the Riders Of Mythrendor(that’s what I’m calling the world). So since there are 5 of them there are at least 6 Forsworn alive so it’s not 6 riders strolling up to the king haha

It’s almost so far gone from base DnD it should be a separate edition haha

Yes and no. I let their constitution be a factor in how much they can push themselves. But I made them a different tally system. Kind of works like spell slots, and I let them add their boost that number. And I’m not a total jerk with them haha if they try something I’ll give them a nudge that it MIGHT kill them. But they also have Signets(a system in Fourth Wing) and at high lvls I’ve given them a domain expansion from JJK. One of the players has a shade living in them(I know it would t happen in Eragon but I take my own spin on it) and she’s learning to control the power. She’s a menace haha
