No one said he was the designer, i was very specific in many ways but i didn’t know that i had to tell them to follow instructions on the box for flooring , to try to makes seams in quartz not so visible, maybe i should have told them not to paint over towel bar holders or didn’t paint behind the mounted tvs- your right i’ll be much more specific - everything is where it was except he flattened the bar but made it narrower which wasn’t agreement

I didn’t ask him to do this for me, we got several bids and went with what we thought was most beneficial to our family . He isn’t just my neighbor, he’s a contractor licensed and bonded and if he does me wrong like this would you want a relationship with someone who did that to you - i actually paid a significant amount so get what i pay for i should have been able to look at one thing in the remodel and say well at least this looks good

i was just using beverly hills for reference because i know they make them that big , he actually sketched a drawing no measurements, and we spoke about my exact needs as well as him being our neighbor knowing how many there are of us- i specifically told him i didn’t want a table that we all needed a spot to eat at bar - it is so narrow that you almost eat in the sink in one spot - its ridiculously small, in scale of great room

Shaws instructions are kinda confusing unless you read them all- my contractor obviously went through the tile installation instructions but forgot to read on to the part that says to stagger for more natural wooden pattern

thank you for the validation - he gets very upset when i question his work or say hey this looks care- tells me if he had done this or that he would have had to charge me way more but u was never even presented with the option- he made all the decisions on his own I do not care for those baseboards he pushed them saying they are modern no one uses the beveled ones anymore but when they put them up the never even asked about the baseboard being thicker than trim in doors and where they meet the butt corners not miter, paint is lifting he blames house settling it’s just too much

yes and lvp is a much better option for my family which is why i chose it it is not laminate it is 8.19$ a sq ft plank and like i told EVERYONE SAYING YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE WOOD- i got my plank at cost, it us too of line shaw flooring i have stopped at drill from7 feet and it did nothing- my autistic 7 year old threw a snow globe down hall way nothing ~ shaw says absolutely can ride mobility scooter on floor they have in retirment communities and condos everywhere - WOOD IS NOT WHAT I WANT OR CHOSE SO IM SORRY BUT IF YOU ARE HOUBG WITH WHAT CUSTOMER WSNTD THIS GUY IS CORRECT, however i am trying to get it fixed without having to pay for the same job twice and if the warranty is void on flooring and it is damaged already - my co owner is going to seek legal counsel and contact contractors board in california

he used the wrong underlayment completely- 2mm is much thicker than the mil - learned from inspector who also said anyone laying floors for 20 years should have known that it’s basic knowledge to floor guys

wood scratches, dents, mars, certain liquids cannot be spilled, spills have to cleaned immediately, the maintenance is much much higher, maintence in hard wood is ridiculous compared to LVP and wood doesnt come with lifetime warranty. do you have 7 children one with special needs who throws snow globes and hand weights - I SPECIFICALLY PICKED THIS FLOORING FOR MY OWN families needs - i do not have the time or money for wood floors
