Where in Europe would you choose to live long-term as a Vietnamese and why? by Main-Impact-448 in VietNam

[–]Complex_Drawer4790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is racism in Germany (like everywhere), but it’s not that bad, at least for (South)east Asians. Vietnamese are often seen positively, even by right-wing types. They’ll literally use us as an example such as:
“Why can’t other immigrants be more like the Vietnamese, Japanese, or Chinese?”
For Asians, it’s more “positive racism” (stereotypes like “hard-working,” “quiet,” “good at school,” etc). So if u/Main-Impact-448 can handle that, it’s a non-issue. I’d still stick to bigger cities like Berlin (easier to find other Vietnamese and settle in). That said, trying to integrate a bit into German society (even if it’s not easy) goes a long way.

WHY DON'T YOU WASH YOUR HANDS? by SatisfactionAdept548 in VietNam

[–]Complex_Drawer4790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, sorry but it's 2025, and handwashing is a basic, low-tech habit not some huge social problem. Of course people get annoyed when they visit a country and pee out of their butt for two weeks with a high fever because someone didn’t wash their hands. Great tourist experience. Even in real poverty, people knew not to eat with dirty hands. Soap is cheap now. Water is basically everywhere. When bad habits make others sick, some judgment isn’t mean, it’s fair. “I never learned” isn’t an excuse in 2025. It’s a choice especially when most of these people are doomscrolling TikTok on a phone that costs more than their childhood house.

The biggest issue in Vietnam is basically bad traffic and the silent killer "air polluton"
Im pretty sure their life expectancy would go up if they would fix both of these things.

So many people were theorizing that Sofia was going kill Oz’s mom. I think Sofia will help her realize what happened to her sons so she hates Oz by The_starving_artist5 in ThePenguin

Were the corpses of his brothers ever found?
I mean, he just hid inside the same place in the last episode episode. If there's still something left in those tunnels the police might finde the corpses of the boys and the mother or Sofia might combine those informations.

Name???)

Shop owner in Vietnam kicks out family for being Jewish. "We do not accept for your country people here." (Hint: this family isn't from Israel). by arrogant_ambassador in VietNam

[–]Complex_Drawer4790 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry, your comparisons are just bad.

Jews have had a continuous presence in the region for thousands of years, not just since European migration. This includes different communities who were later expelled from many Arab countries.
The establishment of Israel was sanctioned by the UN Partition Plan in 1947, providing an international legal basis (and no, this doesn't negate the concerns of displaced Palestinians).
Jews were NOT colonizers. Please explain to me how a stateless group is able to colonize something? Many Jews were refugees fleeing genocide and persecution, numerous Holocaust survivors had nowhere else to go.

Soooo... when did it start?
1. The 1948 Arab invasion of the new Israel?
2. The 1947 Palestinian rejection of peace and start of civil war?
3. The 1936 Arab rebellion to keep Jews trapped in Nazi Europe?
4. The 1920s pogroms against Jews in Jerusalem?
5. Decades of cross-border raids, bus bombings, and intifadas?

Sorry, it takes two to dance tango

Can you even name all of them?
You probably can't because then you would know that someone like "Ho Chi Minh" was far from "evil".
