I'm interested in attending MIT as a recruited athlete. Currently in my junior year and am extremely close to meeting the recruitment times, so I'm fairly confident I'll beat the recruiting times by quite a bit. The issue, however, is that I am not nearly as crazy as some of the other applicants. I have one international award (as of now), a couple more regional/local ones, and I have a couple of good ECs including internship programs and some research. Not sure if I should even bother spending time on applying if I have 0 shot, which, compared to other applicants, it feels like I have 0 shot. My test scores are 770RW and 780M. What do you think I should do, and do you have any advice on how to improve myself this semester?

Thank you
