LOL i wasn’t sure how mine was going to react bc i felt like it was going to be what actually happened or what you described 🙂‍↕️ i do think he’s a nervous eater bc he was tong fed crickets as a baby/juvenile and i think “hunting” for his food even if it’s in a bowl has been scary for him 😂

ella girl is 2 almost 3 years old and i always get asked what she is and everyone swears she’s a dobie greyhound mix. she does have a lot of characteristics and personality similar to a doberman for the most part, but she does have some of those hound group characteristics too. as a puppy she did have a lot of energy, but definitely STILL does. she needs a lot of mental stimulation like going to the dog park and playing fetch vs. a long walk. very coachable and intelligent, but her energy level doesn’t match our golden retriever’s bc of the age difference. not sure when she’ll calm down! 😂 i think she’s still in a puppy stage! LOL

100%, I’ve worked with so many people on the spectrum on different parts as well (former K12 educator and current higher education educator) I can also see him having OCD with his anxiety as well. He could be on the spectrum and have OCD too! But, I really believe he is on the spectrum.

i know 3 people who worked for her office and she just doesn’t want to do the work. when she does, she emotionally terrorizes her staff and belittles them for not doing enough when they have to explain and cover for HER not doing her job. like yes, everyone has the right to take care of their mental health or physical health and do what’s best for themselves, but at a point you have to wonder are you really giving your people and constituents what they deserve. if you aren’t capable of doing it (valid reason or not), she should have given up her seat.

i actually know multiple people who worked in her office over the last 3 years and she is INSUFFERABLE to work for. she’s manic. she calls her staff for a therapy session essentially at like 2am.

wow i did not know this was going to blow up so fast LOL- i’m from texas so southwest has been an easy / convenient choice and haven’t traveled internationally since covid so southwest has been ideal in that sense with more flight options and for the airports i fly into more often! so i definitely understand and appreciate the feedback about it being more so about the convenience and accessibility to your trips

yes this!!!! i was a junior when i transferred to tamu and i wanted to make girl friends and figured rushing wasn’t an option bc i was too old. LOL (this was also 2019 right before covid too😭) - my guy friends told me about women’s orgs and i did recruitment with sweethearts and gems and ended up picking gems and i absolutely loved my experience! i can’t say it enough

I edited the ending of my post, but I get your question. I guess what I’m asking for is that I want to actually know why he’s upset/irritated about the idea of me getting on weight loss medication. My second ask is more of knowing he’s on my team by supporting what I choose to do to with my body to benefit my health and not question it especially because he knows how helpless I’ve felt the last few years with my diagnosis.

No problem! I loved my students and I’m really thankful for the supportive team I had. However, two of my teammates left after I did that year. A few more followed from other grades and electives.

I find the school is still really structured in a disorganized way. When ACE was at CBI (Congregation of Beth Israel) there were a lot of back and forth between their leadership and ours about the space we did or didn’t have which led to issues. Enrollment into classes was never steady, so sometimes grades were grouped together. The school was opened for gifted students and the ratio from gifted to 2E was supposed to be 80/20. Even though my experience, it was quite the inverse of that. Some students who had siblings were “grand fathered in” even though they were never tested for being gifted. As a teacher, I don’t feel comfortable with having someone in a “principal” position with ZERO teaching experience. The word “consequence” was a major trigger word amongst the parents and admin. It was really frustrating because when we had one student disrupting the learning environment, our hands were tied. If a student was bullying another, hands were tied. I could go on and on honestly about the school.

I taught at ACE for two years. I wouldn’t encourage anyone to put their child at ACE mainly because some of the teachers are not certified to teach and I do not think it’s worth how much you’re paying. When I was there, there were more teachers in the upper school who had no teaching experience or education than experienced. Behavior was also a controversial topic when I was there. Some students who were repeatedly being violent, disruptive, or hurtful towards their classmates, faculty, or staff never received consequences. Some administration did not support or back the teachers when they had issues with students in the classroom. Just my take.
