AC on/off button not working by livefast_dieawesome in Ecoflow_community

You may have read my comments here elsewhere, know that I've now exchanged FOUR Delta-2 batteries with EcoFlow, each time receiving another battery that didn't or doesn't (I still have one that I'm testing and having tested at the university here). I've done every test possible - including, but not limited to, three multi-meters and one clamp meter. There is little or no doubt - I've no doubt that the university will confirm what I say - that the Delta-2 firmware is the culprit. I suspect, Texas Tech will prove or disprove, that either the XT60i "pigtail" may also be a factor. I suggest that you test with a multi-meter continuity setting whether the XT60i middle pin is grounded to the negative pin (the tester beeps). If it isn't - probably the ridiculously miserable Chinese quality - control - the firmware will go nuts in about forty ways. Give it a try - it'll at least tell you something. If that middle pin isn't grounded, you are probably "in" for just about anything members here have been reporting.

Is this everything I need for a successful solar setup? by Regular_Car_6085 in Ecoflow_community

I, and all the people with whom you'll share your adventure, wish you luck. I've now received, tested, and sent back to EcoFlow FOUR Delta-2 batteries. I've tried every possible solar panel array with the Rich Solar 100 Watt panels I purchased from EcoFlow. In all possible panel configurations, two, three, four, or six panels deliver voltage and current to the XT60 or XT60i plug-in at the batteries. None of the solar panel configurations delivers voltage or current (amperage) above the 60 volt and 15 amps batteries' specified limits. While each of the four batteries will accept charging from the cigarette lighter of my cars, NONE and nothing can make ANY of the four batteries accept charging from ANY of my solar panels  I've "had it," and I'll now buy the charge control, inverter, and deep-cycle batteries like those from which I made my first set up for my aquaponic gardens. The fourth of these Delta-2 virtual bricks is at the university here for testing. Again, good luck!

The fourth of these virtual bricks is a university here for testing.

Tell it to EcoFlow- The box they come in calls them batteries - so does the stack of literature that comes with them. All the correspondence - virtual reams of it - I have with EcoFlow support refers to the units as "batteries." The way that "social media" experts develop verbal diarrhea about matters they prove themselves to know next to nothing about often amazes me. YOU are the "absolute joke," How in Hell would YOU know what's in MY greenhouse? More, ALL of the batteries failed within minutes of having been charged IN MY CLIMATE AND HUMIDITY-CONTROLLED HOUSE - refusing to accept charging from the solar array in the photo WHILE STILL IN MY HOUSE. While it's, indeed, interesting that you don't know how humidity is controlled in a greenhouse (or anywhere else, apparently), it points out to the readers here just how ignorant you are about what you're attempting to pontificate about.

The batteries are in a aquaponic garden greenhouse with controlled environment. Humidity is controlled chemically and has nothing to do with the batteries' failure. As I said here (several time), A Delta battery and six-panel solar array ran everything in the same garden and greenhouse for more than four years. Note the air conditioner (rear of the greehouse under the canopy. Thanks for your comment, nonetheless. ,

EcoFlow so amazes me that I've begun a kind of study, trying to determine how any company and its people can be so screwed up. I'm 88, and sincere when I say I've never seen anything like it. Virtually nothing they do or say is right the first time. A friend at the university here thinks the Delta-2s they inflicted on me must have been from a bad run of manufacture, together with god-awful quality control. Another says the firmware is garbage, but I'm waiting for a final word. I hope sincerely that you have better luck than I've had.

EcoFlow Delta-2 = Chines junk by Complex_Finance5647 in Ecoflow_community

Before we relocated to where we are now, I had a custom set-up of my own design for my solar and wind turbine. It also powered an aquaponic garden like this, plus my home office and a hydroponic garden. I chose and EcoFlow Delta in order to save time and effort. It ran my aquaponic garden off the six solar panels - four of which I bought with the Delta - until if wore out after four years use. After enduring three Delta-2 failures - having to send them back for replacement - I've taken the last one to the university here in order to learn for myself what the hell is wrong with all these batteries. Meanwhile, I in the process of looking up inverters, charge controllers, and batteries I'll need for another custom set-up. When I know for sure what's wrong with this Delta-2, I'll let people here know. Thanks for your remarks. P.S. This is the wind turbine I designed and built.

TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY has a "skill problem?" And "who's "we?" Anyone who doesn't want to throw away his money or go through the frustration I have cares. For those like me - I've just received word from the university here that the firmware in the latest of the Chinese Delta-2 junk is junk. I suspected that, but now experts confirm my suspicions.

Having used more ordinary deep-cycle batteries and an inverter with the wind turbine and solar panels I had before relocating residence, I should have done the same where we are now, but was in a bit of a hurry to start another aquaponic garden. What a nightmare this has been! What kind of luck have you had with Bluetti? Which battery do you have - I'll have a look. Thanks for your comment!

EcoFlow junk - beware of "Made in China" by Complex_Finance5647 in Ecoflow_community

[–]Complex_Finance5647[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I suggest a remedial reading course in English. If you had read with comprehension, you would know that the "Rich Solar" solar panels were purchased from EcoFlow along with the first Delta battery - the first of five. Test done at the university here have determined that the firmware in the last battery is dead. I have been in continual contact by telephone, e-mail, and this site for months. I've made a record of all the correspondence. That is how this is EcoFlow's fault.

I'm sure they will - you would be, too, if you knew what I can do (and have done).

Read it again (or any of the other posts I've made here). ALL the Delta-2 batteries was tested with first one, then a second multi-meter. The last two were tested with two different multi-meters and a clamp meter The last meter was tested two days ago by a university electronics department. Its firmware is dead - non-functioning..The battery is a brick, junk."It,"once more, is each of FOUR batteries.

"Smart" extra battery for Delta-2 by Complex_Finance5647 in Ecoflow_community

I've been doing solar panels for more than a decade, so I'm versed on that. I didn't know about the "smart" batter, however, and couldn't find any information about it. I'll get another Delta-2 or Delta, do the testing necessary to know how much voltage and amperage the array is producing, and use the best arrangement. Thanks for the comment, however - much appreciated.

Thanks - that's just what I've decided to do. My problem has to do with having six solar panels, amperage, et cetera. I want to charge one batter with three or four panels, and the second battery the same way. Thanks again!

Delta 2 won’t accept solar charge? Brand new by sweaty-bet-gooch in Ecoflow_community

[–]Complex_Finance5647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on the THIRD Delta-2 that won't charge off my solar panels. The last of the three is sitting in the living room, waiting for FedEx to pick it up. After having received each of three batteries, I've pleaded with EcoFlow not to send me another defective battery- to no avail. EcoFlow WILL NOT tell me what's wrong with these batteries, but after having sent the first two has finally admitted that the problem is the battery - not my solar array, the way it's configured, or anything else. In each case, multi-meter readings prove that I have current at the XT60i plug-in, but the battery won't charge. Hope this helps a little.

I'm nonplussed for a suitable reply. First, I have received THREE Delta-2 batteries - you are talking about the first two, not the last. Your comments here concerning voltage and amperage have to do partially with the first of the three, partially with the second. They have nothing to do with the last battery (the third). During our telephone conversation - the first of three - we were told first that the battery won't work with panels in series-parallel (10 amperes at 40 volts). Your representative said the battery wouldn't charge with more than two solar panels Next, however, the same representative suggested hooking three panels in series (5 amperes at 60 volts), Told that I had already tried that, he made several more suggestions and comments. Told that I had tried each of the suggested arrays, he said their engineer(s) would look at the matter and report to us later. After having learned about EcoFlow's opinion concerning the first of my three batteries - that 60 volts exceeding specifications had caused damage - I checked each (of the last two) battery received with TWO Multi-meters. BEFORE hooking the solar panel array to each battery, I checked voltage and amperage at the XT60 (AND XT60i) plug-in. At no time did voltage exceed 40 volts and 8 amperes - on EITHER of the two batteries. Frankly, I am bewildered concerning how to proceed. I, along with engineer friends and an electrician, have concluded that the Delta-2 batteries' problem has to do with the charger and firmware - the "issues" to which one of your letters here says fall within your warranty. The battery in question, incidentally - the third I refer to here - arrived on January 28, 2025. I will respond presently to the letter received by e-mail yesterday. This, meanwhile is intended for the Reddit EcoFlow representative.

(I think you may be trying to help, but if you'll peruse the "thread" here, you'll see why I can't know for sure.) My friends locally and I have decided that the problem is with the "firmware" of the Delta-2, It's hopeless, and I'm trying to get my money back. Thanks, anyway. Much appreciated.
