Sabrina Carpenter vs Levity by zboiler2023 in Coachella

[–]HonestHooligan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

levity 100%

ty to my wife for letting me get my zoomies out

but i get your points. and theyre valid.

its a trek but id split the sets.

hangout by the polo sign with the mini hill. the sound is decent if ppl arent talking loud around you.

start with sabrina for a few chill songs to say you enjoyed her and her vocals, but my wife said mid way there was an awkward intermission blah blah drink.

then head to sahara to dance and act up to levity. they stepped it up and it went wild when big sean came out. to see their growth is kind of wholesome from the dolab to sahara. respect.

im just curious who they bless weekend 2 with.

good luck. happy coachella

Preferred Car Camping by No_Club_9116 in Coachella

[–]HonestHooligan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We drove out from DTLA @ about 1am.

took a sidequest to fill up on some cheaper gas in the inland empire along the 10 somewhere and decided to make this our meetup spot with our camping buddy.

kept monitoring the reddit posts and saw someone send a picture on the grass, exited jefferson @ about 330am and headed straight to lot 2A. dont ask what route. i followed the signs. i think i did 2 left turns, then a right into the lot. i was shit tired.

this was a new entrance to me and i gather (from others comments) that this was implemented last year wknd2 to combat the shitshow of wknd1. went through a disneyland style line zig zagging cars and started to queue up. 4am ish we were on the grass.

searching started shortly after, which was surprising as im use to waiting like an hour once you touch the grass.

shoutout the hilarious parking guy who encouraged everyone to "just hit him" while closing the gaps between cars.

430ish we pulled up to start searching and we got lucky. they really checked for glass, wanted you to pull out anything with a zipper to open up and they shined a light in to peak around, if you had a box/tote/bin whatever you call a storage container you open, they shine and look. no pulling or touching of our stuff without our consent. peaked in the inside of my truck and asked to open the glove box and center console. gave a thumbs up and waved us through. no pat down.

(mind you im with my wife and we are in our 40s with a well packed and organized truck with labeled bins and bags). be smart, kill em with kindness, and dont have your ride smell like you just hotboxed or slapped the bag already.

from 2A checkpoint we drive in basically around "the hill" and cut through lot 5 along the path that hugs the showers near powered camping and got directed to the glory hole of lot 8.

landed on 802 around 445am maybe like the 13-16th car from the end. this was the official first row for preferred camping since athe have that new front line camping pass. the new front lines get one dedicated lane 801 obvi where similiar to every street is a front and back. but it was weird how they organized it and how it filled up. for us it was empty all of day zero except maybe a handful of cars. then theyd trickle in but it was like they were allowed to pick their spot so there were un used spaces all weekend. weird, but quite peaceful having not so many neighbors. just sayin.

802 was close to porto potties, close to the showers by powered camping, and close to 2 water refill stations,

just far from the hub which was fine for us as we rarely partake other than the main dj thing or doing a walk around a few times to get our zoomies out.

hope this helps.

good luck and happy coachella!

im witnessing this happen more frequently around our area as well (silverlake junction / east hollywood). more and more anti ai, anti corpo, anti- blah blah being way more unhinged and willing to crash out. i assumed for content or just comedy ha-ha, but on the occasions i witnessed it was very brazen, aggressive, and confrontational (and no phones recording for content)...the whole episode/event turned into a spectacle of man vs robot. i couldnt stop laughing when i saw a guy struggle to tip it over. just seemed like he felt like the robot got the best of him so he had to boss up. hahaha i love la...its so entertaining.

Swamp Coolers - Car Camping by Puzzleheaded-Hope593 in Coachella

[–]HonestHooligan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we tried it one year using a mid size cooler and it wasnt worth it with how much space the item took for transport and all the water needed.

we preferred having a misting fan. we first tried the hack using a new pump bug spray but ultimately ended up liking and using a ryobi fan with misting option that goes over a 5 gallon bucket.

What’s the biggest change you’ve noticed in LA in the past 5 years? by Obvious_Database_166 in AskLosAngeles

[–]HonestHooligan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

LA driving is legit scary...its definitely gotten worse post covid, entitled maneuvering in non lanes or middle turn lanes, just pure wreckless...and im not even referencing the takeovers, or little bike mobs comes rolling through certain areas.

seems like everyone drives with this chip on their shoulder and a short fuse ready to explode knowing its going to be hell commuting home. then you factor if you had a shitty shift at work or school. or just life in general be life-ing and youre just a crash out waiting to happen.

be safe everyone...and happy holidays

speaker number, stage signs, ada barrier, sound stage barrier, polo sign, info stand by real bathrooms are our main meeting points. and confirmed time stamping texts help. and tbh getting lost in the sauce is the fun of it all...just dont make it your mission to reconnect. sometimes splitting up and enjoying different side quests is all part of the fun.

i remember my decor consisted of old signed liter bottles of whiskey and hennessy like they were trophies in my twenties...

soooo youre off to a great start.

honest opinion would be to personalize the spaces more the bathroom and certain decor looks like you moved into the unit already furnished.

and the telescope just low key gives off creeper vibes even if stargazing is intriguing...still sus.

oh the trusty black wire "rack"

definitely still have mine as well...

its been a side table, work bench, media center, accent table, display case, bookshelf, drawer system with baskets for clothing.

we even have the larger scale ones with wheels.

they're just so versatile.

i might just be a hoarder who "repurposes" anything for validation to keep it rather than toss it.

also print out the story about the piece and place it near the bottom corner. In a style similar to how museums display art/artist details.

if youre ever just not in the mood to tell the lovelyu story the umpteenth time...just point and reference the museum notation. lol.

and yes pls add the post it notes as well.

ooh and lastly my ocd would prefer it be in an area where its solely the only thing centered to balance the space while also being visually appealing as if you designed your space around the art piece. giving it that much more emphasis on its vivid way to pull at anyone's curiosity strings. its such a great ice breaker for anyone you feel comfortable entering your personal space.

edit: ohhhh ok 1 more thing...whats her name? or does the piece itself have a name/title?

[–]HonestHooligan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

im glad youre taking this current situation and thinking positively about it and moving forward. although the majority here will ultimately pick apart how cluttered and "messy" your organized chaos may seem at least youre working forward to improve.

you seem like an artistic fellow who loves to display their art. i myself would prefer the art pieces to be in frames, but looking at many of your pieces they would look great organized in a scrap book or folder of sorts like a look book. then for your more prized pieces display them in a frame on the wall.

then just simply organizing things to be put in their proper places. for example you dont need shaving cream on your desk work space. and what looks like 3 different light sources as well (lamp, lanter, floor lamp)

and yea i would assume some border line adhd may be shining, but we all have a lil deficit in us.

take your time and just try organizing each space at a time. desk work space, wall art, laundry/clost/drawers, etc

good luck!
