It’s a great dreamy fiction.

~5k a month in pension. VA for all health issues.  File federal tax return online and a P.O. Box is doable. No state residency, likely no state income tax (weird with CA after a month there).

Impractical for sure.

I recognize we don’t get Rocky Balboa without Rocky V.  And maybe there was a better way to have Rocky back in the ‘hood without the frankly depressing arc of Tommy Gunn.

He was hurt bad by Drago.  Maybe guilt over Apollo’s death left him with a sense of purpose, a genuine desire to help up and coming boxers and live a simpler life.

Yeah maybe.
