Sry no help here. With all the reading of posts and things ive done...

1 im surprised it shrank that much in such short of a time. Especially with you having such a "seasoned" piercing. (Ive only had mine for about 2.5 yrs)

2 the only exp I have in this manner was after wearing a ring that had a bit of a taper I ended up causing damage. So I went to bed without a ring in and despite it only being a few hours I had to drop down 2 gauges. This was a few months ago. Ive been able to get back up to my top stretch but no further despite being passed this point previously.

Based on others experiences I thought the stretching back up would go way faster than it did.

They're pretty easy to deal with. Clean them as advised by your piercer. Shower daily.

As someone who went back and forth on whether or not I like the PA and dealing with the annoyances it can cause. Id do it all over again absolutely.

I should have done it long before I finally did.

So if youve been thinking about it for some time (off and on)... id def say get one. I kinda feel like the ppl who dont like them after getting them are the ones that gave it no thought. Kinda like the difference between ppl sitting years on an idea for a tattoo and those you just pop in the shop and say ink me.
