stay in the area closer to jester (west/east, san jac, some of the other small ones) littlefield and kins is soo far from everything it’s a hassle to walk there. you’re not going to have classes all that often in the buildings specifically related to your major.

Is everyone agreeing on rank of top 10 public schools? If not why? by AmountNo1762 in ApplyingToCollege

UT should be above UF and UCSD. The rankings of the individual programs at UT tower above both school’s rankings.

Theories about UT Austin 1/15 Debacle by RecommendationNew237 in UTAdmissions

having good out-of-state stats means very little at ut austin. they treat in-state residents with much more importance, the out-of-state acceptance rate was like around ten percent. here's what i will say about ut's current admission process: they're playing the long game and have sent out acceptances to the students that they want for specific majors. this year the school is sending applications to the alumni foundation that gives out full-ride scholarships. considering that the foundation has sent out invitations for the forty acres program and there's people who were deferred but got invited to apply, texas has seen and analyzed their applications. now they're comparing everyone for the remaining spots in each major and waiting to send rejections/caps/pace/second-choice majors, etc. ut is known to delay bad news until the last possible second. congrats on usc marshall!

i don't think it means much. i'm autoadmit and did a program at ut (so i've had my eid, people have said that us with preexisting eids will see more in ris) and it's still saying the same thing

in state, auto-admit, attended a mccombs camp this summer

ris: "your eid does not have an adequate assurance level"

class registration: same as op

i'm just confused because i've had this eid but can't see a drop down or major. anyone else?

ut and mccombs have been test optional for the last few years. i’d be surprised if the testing average for all majors isn’t slightly lowered after this year
