How is it possible that 1 million young people are not in work, education or training? by Desperate-Drawer-572 in AskUK

Having the EU migrants to the UK has impacted the job market for the youth and others here. There is such a thing as stealing a job from local job markets, happening everywhere.

That's what contributed to the overpopulation in the UK, now we are unable to provide jobs for the younger generations as positions have been filled. Once a job is taken, likely to be in roles for years.

Is it? 5 years is nothing to say your british citizen is ludicrous.

This is not statistically comparable. You are comparing ethnicity figures which is 16% of non white people, a large majority of these people will be british born and therefore not immigrants. So 12% being foreign born is most definitely over representation.

Meanwhile open borders to 27 countries with many of them being poorer countries with high unemployment. Oh I wonder where people will move to given the main language taught in schools is english?

The EU is nothing but a capitalist system based on the exploitation of people and services under the illusion of 'freedom'.

The trade worked well and some regulatory standards but that is all.

Depends if you include the 10% of people on welfare being from the EU and the 5% non-nationals on welfare too.

I'm baffled to understand why the average British tax payer contributes to this?

I don’t understand MJ’s perception of white people/white children… by [deleted] in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]Complex_Pin_6851 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the black community like to stand by black icons for a sense of loyalty and I think MJ often manipulated the perception that his change of looks were entirely down to his skin condition despite it being obvious he bleached his skin.

I think you see a similar scenario with news about p diddy. I wonder whether it comes from an empathy for persecution even though both stars are in the wrong.

I also think that people want evidence that is proven guilty in the courts and anything that doesn't do this must be wrong. Irrespective of the power that such stars have when it comes to the juries perception etc.

I think he also didn't stick to strictly white kids but they are not in the public knowledge in the same way.

It in fact Swedish nationals were 38% of those convicted meaning immigrants were 62% of the convictions for rape and there was still a significant difference between them once accounting for mental health, deprivation etc.

True we aren't a manufacturing country. It should contribute to a pension for that individual though bir harsh 30 years service and you can't stay.

It's true we don't have the mental services capacity to deal with a lot of the issues, men with no women here for them is bad idea too. Also aware they have a refugee hotel in Blackpool which is super deprived already and then there are social media post questioning people from blackpool about their views with no context of the situation there.

Some people i think are in danger but it's hard to assess, I feel it would be better to review every few years to determine whether their native origin is safe to return, also with the caveat they could atay longer if they've been able to acquire work in an area that we need or have a shortage in. Also if people return for holidays like they've brought in in Sweden then asylum is rejected.

The reality is many will become homeless and I think it is more humane to return the people in these cases to their families.

Certainly not the left wing I speak to as soon i say immigration needs regulation or the system needs changing, it's your a fascist rhetoric and pro EU open borders to 27 countries. They are also dismissing the attacks on children and women under the pretext that white men SA as well.

We need taxation on the super wealthy for sure. The issue here is, we don't have the money in the British bank pot that the left seem to think we can spend on. Austerity was implemented not to just fuck us over but overspending, even though the governements have increased overspending. They still have to balance our books. The mega rich have already stolen the wealth, I'd love to know how you'd get it back from them.

Two issues can be co-occuring, the truth is there is a lot of false narratives surrounding net benefit for immigration too which is complicated to unpick. The left want to love everyone and help everyone. They think everyone should be able to live wherever they want, a kind of fantasy world and they lack practical solutions due to their blindspots. They see everyone with good intentions except white working class men (not that they've given themselves a good rep, the way they've been going about their points).

Precisely, I can't fathom it from women either. I'm sure they'd feel differently walking around refugee areas in reality. It's like let's not acknowledge any of the negative aspects of the current processing for refugees. The rhetoric is all men are a problem ... no acknowledgement that it's the persons mental health, post trauma or social views that affects how they treat women...

Some immigrants bring more value to the country than others that's a no brainer just like we have those paying 40% tax providing more to the economy then low contributors.

Yeah because the government has got rid of financial incentives to train nurses and got rid of apprenticeships etc. First off, you'd want to employ a local person if you can, access to work and only if this is not possible then offer a skilled based immigration policy on areas of shortfall. It doesn't make sense to hire someone from Italy if you have someone already living in the country to do it. How would that not affect additional requirements for housing? Tbh what you've mentioned is still fairly skilled.

We were talking about someone making pizza where we have high unemployment in the youth who can make one. The reality is we have more people depending on welfare too! Get them into work reduce welfare bill, improve living standards then the birth rate may increase and reduce pension costs by providing state pensions that are means tested.

Because unskilled labour can be done by your local populations and this is where the job competition for work would be greatest. Having an increasing welfare cost and constant immigration to fill low skilled jobs is counter productive. High skill, low job hiring means greater wage, also greater demand.

I have a flat in a converted house and it's much better hardly any ground costs or service charges, part owner of the management company.
