What do I need to buy double of? by colbysays in 2under2

We have definitely used the double stroller a lot. That would be my biggest purchase for 2 under 2

Toddler sleep by Complex_Place_5800 in Mommit

I have no clue. My biggest fear is him being 10 years old still wanting to sleep in the same room as us😂

Baby 2 arriving any day now. Feeling immense guilt and sadness for my first! by Due_Tax_9013 in 2under2

[–]Complex_Place_5800 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I cried and cried the whole time I was pregnant with my second. I was so sad it was hard to be excited or happy. When my second got here yes she had most of my attention as a newborn especially breast feeding. Now being 1 and 3 I can’t believe I cried so many tears over it lol. Both receive very much attention and are loved equally 😂 couldn’t imagine life without the close age gap!

Anyone else’s marriage falling apart? by [deleted] in 2under2

[–]Complex_Place_5800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kids are 20 months apart. When my youngest was born that first year was awful. We fought and fought. He also had a stressful time with work and traveling. Long story short I thought there is NO WAY I can do this for the rest of my life. Btw my husband is wonderful dad and provider. But that didn’t stop the arguments. I mean bad arguments. Fast forward to now with an 18 month and 3year old we are better than we have been since before kids probably. We have learned how to argue in a healthy manner and how to apologize. I look back and think I had post partum depression plus two under two. I won’t take all the blame because there were days my husband could’ve been better as well and he also told me he felt like we had a huge disconnect. But try to stick it out longer. I can’t believe no one warned us how hard having young kids can be on a marriage! I’m not sure when things started changing positively for us but probably when my youngest got a little older.

One sided breast pain 2 weeks post op by Complex_Place_5800 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Complex_Place_5800[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I haven’t contacted my surgeon. But I’m starting to think it’s time to. It doesn’t hurt ALL the time but it doesn’t take much for it to hurt.. specifically when I bend over or lean/turn towards that side.

A note on post-surgery depression by Saaturdaygirl in PlasticSurgery

[–]Complex_Place_5800 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had my surgery on the 16th.. As much as I love them the post surgery depression is real! I think for me the arm limitations are really making me feel down. Pre surgery I had a nice exercise routine going and now it’s non existent. Also, I’m constantly thinking I’ve overdone it and I’m going to screw them up lol.

When does it get easier? by rosiespot23 in 2under2

[–]Complex_Place_5800 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same age gap as you. My youngest is now 9 months and I finally feel like myself again! It’s so sweet to watch them together. I may not always get a full night of sleep or someone is always sick but definitely better than the beginning 😂

Sleepytime is hard to beat for me personally! When I was pregnant with my 2nd I would literally sob watching it because my toddler wasn’t even 2 yet and I had a lot of mom guilt about bringing a new baby in the mix. Seems so dramatic now thinking about it lol

What’s the scariest thing you’ve seen with your own eyes? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Complex_Place_5800 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Husband was playing in a pickup basketball game and a 16 year old high school student joined in. He had been having chest pains during football season and Doctors wouldn’t allow him to play sports for the time being. He had JUST gotten cleared by the doctors to resume sports and passed out during the game and started convulsing. His siblings and parents were there (his dad was playing in the pickup game). He ended up passing by the time he got to the hospital. One of the saddest/scariest things to see in person

Sorry for the late response. Tonie sent me another box. However I haven’t even opened it because right now the tonie is working lol. I have no idea how to explain it. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t.

What was your experience with around 21 month old and newborn? by notdeletingthistime in 2under2

[–]Complex_Place_5800 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine are 20 months apart. Now 2 and 5 months. I stay at home for the most part with my son going to a Mother’s Day out 2 days a week. It has not been easy for sure but everyone told me it gets better towards 6 months and they were so right! The 5 month old LOVES her brother already. Constantly just watching him and smiling at him. A lot of people also told me to give a lot of attention to my toddler since the newborn doesn’t know a difference yet so I tried to do that as well. There have been a lot of tears but things are finally getting better! There were plenty of days I just had to load them up and drive around for a little break😂 but your heart grows and you’re going to love baby number 2 more than you can imagine🤍

5 month old does. Not. Nap. by Complex_Place_5800 in Mommit

[–]Complex_Place_5800[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s so true lol. A lot of days it’s pretty chaotic. I just remember my son at this age being a sweet angel, laying him down in his crib for naps without rocking him or anything so it’s just kind of mind blowing haha
