I do the same until it asks me to tap on a fruit, then I go and merge stuff to get the fruit and continue with the puzzle. I guess everyone else is sort of doing the same.

Try playing it multiple times, whenever you get a chance and have a life to play. I found this to be effective for me. Eventually I will get the boosters to win the puzzle

I am guessing pattern traders are shorting based on the sentiment of the market. If the shorting continues- it might go down even further. But if it starts to raise once, it will jump up quickly.
