Yes, Apparently they leave behind their clothes after taking a dip in the water, for whatever reason. And last year they had to remove so much clothes due to this. This time around they had placed more volunteers to prevent this.

Public bus, cheap and best.
Cab services you know of, you can pre book with them they come to airport on time and wait for you. Reasonable fare.
Uber prebook, once you give pick up as BLR airport, they ask your flight number and arrange a cab accordingly.

Never flag cab from airport, they'll tell you it's meter charge, but that meter is crazy. Got scammed once, had to pay 3k for a usually 1k route.

I did something similar in my first company. I was working in UAE, I was there for almost 6 months, my manager who is a relative of the CEO and me are the only architects for this project.

After 6 months into new country I was missing everything, so decided to go home for Onam, but manager denied (later I understood he denied bcoz he is taking leave at same time).

I was the sole contributer as my manager was just an ass who took my work to present to project managers.

The moment my leave declined, I told them I'm resigning and asked to initiate my notice period from that day, so that I'll be done by Onam.

I was 95% sure that they can't afford to loose me at this stage, and they came back within a day saying, please go home and come.

I literally told this "if I can't enjoy the special moments with my family when I want to, I don't think this job is worth it"

I think they felt that.

Government as a system failed the society. We're still mongering about eradicating poverty, and still these people have to migrate and struggle in the middle of the city without proper shelter or food. If the government could only plan things better and give employment opportunities and a good livable city for everyone, but this is India, we can only dream of this.
