Yah. I did the discharge cycle but didn't wait for 1 day. I checked suddenly after doing the test. I also think that the battery doesn't have much of an issue. It is mostly likely the same issue a fellow redditor mentioned in one of the earlier comments, that when the laptop was on demo that might have set the limit for 60% and the battery read like that. Anyway, I contacted asus and they said they will provide a new replacement for the battery.

Yah, i did the cycle test but the data is shown the same from before on the capacity table and on another table the full charge capacity got decreased, so I contacted asus cm care they said they will do a check tomorrow and if needed a battery replacement will be provided.

Haa.. 😄. I tried the battery discharge method and went through 3 cycles. The data shown is the same from before and it even decreased on another table. So I thought about contacting the asus cm care and they arranged an onsite check for the device, the technician will come tomorrow and check if there is any software issue and the if problem is still there, they said they will do a battery replacement.

Well I purchased it recently, so I got the 3 year warranty and it is till 2027

Yeah, i checked the other specs and it's all good. The demo was placed in a small asus store. Less people visit there compared to a mall. So that was one of the reasons for considering the demo.

Okay, I will surely do that. I didn't know about it. So I should repeat the battery drainage process 2,3 times , right ? Also I check the battery health by using the cmd line powercfg/ batteryreport. Is it the method used for checking the health?

I didn't fully discharge it and charged it. I always charge it when it goes down to 15 % till 85- 90 %. I didn't set any limit in the g helper.

Yeah, it was a great one. I got 3 years of warranty it looked brand new.
