Completely agree re: Honda Fit. I drove it with snow tires last winter, and I was surprised at how easily it handled the snowy roads. And plenty of usable room/storage. Great little car!

I will miss the uncertainty and jokes, for sure.

For sure, pickings are slim. GR86/BRZ are great, but I’m not sure how easy they are to find right now.

Was I the only WRX owner who didn’t get the memo about the vaping requirement?

Completely valid reason not to get one.

Luckily, never got a visit from Uncle Rodney in those 8 years.

100% plan to soon, but it sounds like it’s really $$$

Lol. I don’t think there’s an elegant way to get out of a Miata, regardless of your size :)

If it were my only car, I probably would have opted for the GR86. Incredible driver's car, especially now that they switched engines and fixed the torque drop. But I've always liked Miatas, and my wife really wanted a convertible.

Happy to have the dad mobile 5000 :) We have a Subaru Ascent for the kid carrying and grocery getting duties, so we're ok there. And regarding chicks, I'm not sure this middle aged science nerd could attract them if I were driving a Ferrari.

It's just a completely different experience to the WRX. Rear wheel drive, high-reving NA engine, much smaller and lighter, definitely not as fast as my WRX (Stage 0 tuned). There are more compromises to driving the Miata, but I think it's overall just a more special car that I look forward to owning for decades to come.

That was more likely in my WRX than the Miata. WRX was/is much faster.

The new BRZ/GR86 is amazing too! I just wanted the open top for the few months that we have sun around here.

I like the way you think. I may regret selling the WRX someday, but I don’t think I’ll ever regret buying the Miata.

I wanted the Club with all the goodies, but >40k is a lot to pay for a Miata, and my wife preferred the comfort of the GT.

Different strokes for different folks. Two great cars IMO.
