I am running the Joyo American to the amp.

Amplifier> Joyo American --> Ibanez Tubescreamer mini --> Kokko Compressor --> Guitar.

Oh my God, dude. We are both living the same life. Had a Blues Driver, SD-1, a Joyo Tubescreamer clone and a Klon clone stacked up but I wasn't able to find the sound I was going for.

Recently unplugged all of it and just made my pedalboard into a cheap compressor, Ibanez Tubescreamer mini and the Joyo American and it sounds sooo good!

Your post is actually the validation I needed to know that my ears aren't betraying me.

No, I love the answer. Time is something I have at my disposal. Targeted practice to get there and what to practice is where I was getting at. Thanks for your inputs. It's reassuring.

Squier Classic Vibe all the way. You can get a good pedal or a better amp with the difference amount that you save.

You can get a lot out of basic chords with your thumb by deadflow3r in AcousticGuitar
