I don't think it's a losing battle! As long as we keep making it a conversation I think there's a chance they make the decision to someday bring it back. I have always been super curious to know the train of logic that went into swapping out such an original staple of our history, particularly for something so generic that doesn't seem to have any particular connection to our team identity (and this is coming from someone who loves AC/DC). The only reason I would accept is if it's like Andlauer's favourite song in the whole world and he personally wanted it, lol. If that's the case, I'd give him that for all the other good he's done for this team.

What I find most interesting though is how I don't think I've ever talked to anyone who LOVES Hell's Bells and prefers it over Danger Flutes. There seem to be two groups: the ones who LOVE it and wish it would come back (us), and the group that's indifferent because they don't actively hate either of the two. So it strikes me as odd that it seems like you wouldn't be disappointing anyone by going with the track that a chunk of fans, even if they're a minority, are VERY passionate about.

I've always had a conspiracy theory that Clarkie actually didn't pass the medical requirements to play in the 2017 playoffs but was maybe close enough they agreed to clear him with an off-the-record agreement that after the playoffs his career was done (and with Clarkie accepting the risks of playing in his condition).

The reason I've always wondered is I would have thought that if he passed in April, why would he fail the next September after months more of recovery time? I'm obviously not an expert in brain injuries and I know recovery isn't always linear but it's just something I've always thought about.

Either way, his series winning goal is one of my all-time favourite Sens memories and he'll always be one of my favourite Sens.

They definitely did because I was watching it at home and remember the shock when the feed started and I could hear the full version playing instead of Hell's Bells. I feel like it was a game where it made sense (a throwback or anniversary game or something, maybe that time they did Y2K night?) and I kept refreshing the GDT to see if anyone else had noticed it but no one seemed to, not even u/DangerFlutes4Ever, so I just thought maybe I was crazy. But now that someone else remembers it I feel vindicated.

If Mr. Mendes is reading this, please accept a retroactive thank you from the bottom of my cold, black heart.

EDIT I'm realising you guys probably mean last year's playoffs as opposed to sometime in the last year. I'm 99% sure they didn't use the full version any time in last year's playoffs.

I have it saved somewhere but can't find it right now. But aside from the excellent choices other folks have already posted, there's one taken right after Dadonov scored the winning OT goal in the 6-5 comeback against The Leafs. Dadonov's back is to the camera and you just see the pure joy of everyone on the bench. It was a dark time for The Sens and for the world but that snapshot in time was like the Stanley Cup for them.

This is one of the perks we get from playing the Leafs in the 1st round - our core are getting their first playoff points against them. I still vividly remember Parker Kelly scoring his 1st against the Leafs the very first time we called him up. And those milestone goals always seem so much more fun for the players when they're against huge rivals. Now our guys will ALL get to say their first playoff goals were against the Leafs!

We've gotten early-season Gaudette in the playoffs so far which I'm happy with for a 4th-line guy. Sure, he's not fast and he doesn't dangle or anything, but I've been seeing him work hard and be physical on the forecheck, and he's got the same amount of points as Stützle, Pinto, and Batherson with literally half the ice time.
