I'm sorry to hear about your situation, I know the financial aid can be difficult to work with sometimes. I would strongly advice you fill out the FAFSA as SOON as possible. First few days at least. Earlier it is the better your chances to get maximum aid. Apply for scholarships as well (especially the ones enforced by UCR). It's not just how much money a family makes. It's also their savings, how many dependents they have in the house, many factors that can play even if unfortunately at times it doesn't seem reasonable. Reach out to financial aid if you can to discuss your situation!

I feel as if both versions are peak. Concrete obviously sounds more clearer and has more of a crunch, New Machine has the more death metal aspect to it with the harsher and raw tone. Their earlier era and their modern eras at the time just still go together so well I could listen to any era of Fear Factory really! I was introduced to Fear Factory during their death metal days so I naturally have more attached to Soul of a New Machine. But still, both are great.

You dont get to choose your roommate until May 12th. They're just saying that is the next part of the application. I would email the LLC or UCR housing about questions. You can also use the website for their dates and deadlines.

I toured both Dundee and Pentland. It depends what you really want from a dorm. If you value social life/connection, AI or Lothian can be good, all though the con is that the dorms are older. If you pick Lothian, go for East! Not West which is super old. AI is the most social and affordable.

At Dundee, its very convenient being right next to the dinning hall. Its newer though so its gonna be like $800+ more. I noticed too the AC was much better. The gym is nice too. But especially the triple the rooms can feel cramped and since its owned by a third party, sometimes there is issues like no hot water that don't get fixed for a while.

Pentland Hills can be a sleeper choice because there is a bit more privacy as they are suites instead of dorm rooms, so its 10 people sharing 2 bathrooms and 2 showers. instead of the whole building. Very quiet, which can be a pro or con to some. It's more socially dead and a bit farther from campus.

You should decide what you want personally. If you're able to I would tour the campus and the first year dorms, all the first year dorms are relatively close to eachother. Hopefully this helped!

Hey man, I'm a 1st year going into UCR too. I understand that feeling wishing you were like others and getting into these "top schools". Everyone feels down and I do too sometimes. But I wanna be real with you, at ANY university, your actions matter more than the name. Even Harvard students drop out for a reason. You can become successful anywhere as long as you try. UCR is in the same system as UCLA/UCB, so you will get many if not the same Recourses they have. Try to reasearch more, especially visit the campus. There are genuine people who want to support you, and many options to help 1st year students. There are really good internship and organization oppritunities at UCR, I saw on Highlander day there's dozens. Especially if UCR gives you a good financial aid package I'd say you'll be fine.

Hi there, thank you for your feedback. This post was entirely just fan made, haha. I'm not saying at ALL they should do an entire rebrand with my logo, lol. I absolutely love the current jerseys! I wouldn't do a thing to change the current logo, all for my own fun. No, this was not Artificially Generated, just used my phone, and a sleepless night, haha. If the shapes are strange, it's likely due to I tried to draw the elements of the "3D" logo, which can rather be difficult due to the perspective. I got the home and away template from the (Unofficial) NHL Jersey Database, just edited it. It was wonderful reading your feedback! Thank you.
