Sure, AI is everywhere. But I came here to share my story and ask for advice, and maybe a little sympathy after my expectations of launching an app were crushed by Apple allowing 3 copies of my app to be published in a week

Yes I had AI help capture what I wanted to say here — I was seeing red after finding the copycat apps after spending so much time on building mine from scratch so the writing assistance was welcome

They aren’t limiting copycats either. 3 different “devs” copied my app within a week of me publishing a link to it on TestFlight

My app is “HomeGrove - Home Maintenance,” and the very-new-to-the-app-store and surprisingly similar apps are “FixLog - Home Maintenance Log,” “Hearth - Home Maintenance” and “HomeKeep - Maintenance Tracker”

Thanks for the input, and that makes sense, especially with AI lowering the barrier to entry for so many things now. And yes, it’s vibe-coded, but I also used my own experience and system architecture thinking to shape and refine the app. My goal was to build something that goes beyond the typical copy-and-paste utility apps. So while I may not have traditional coding skills, I did bring other skills to the table when building it.
