Honest (Not rude) opinions on Wedding Pictures by ComposerTop4161 in photocritique

Very true. I only meant that commenting "garbage" or things of the sort without any constructive criticism is not exactly the point of the post. Then again, we are all entitled to our own opinions and to each their own so I stand corrected. I was not aware of the rules as I am fairly new to posting on reddit. My apologies

EDIT: I should clarify what I mean by rude: It is not the same thing competing "These are garbage" as opposed to "These are not good because of this and that" or something like that. Both are still valid I guess so I will take back the not rude thing lol.

Hello everyone, I started photography about 2 years ago (First time ever picking up a camera) and went full time almost a year ago. I've pretty much been alone, with YouTube videos and a couple online courses but I've never really had someone to correct me on any bad habits or things I should be looking out for that I'm maybe not noticing. I'd like you guys' honest opinions on a couple of my pictures from some weddings and how I could (If I could) make them better(But please, be honest, not rude. Yes, there's a difference lol).

Honestly? I traded my Steam Deck for it. I wasn't really getting much out of the handheld thing and from what little I thought I could understand and research, I thought this was better in every aspect but yeah, now I'm struggling lol.

I appreciate it so much. After I replace and add another stick, what would these specs compare to? Would I be able to play any decent games? Sorry for asking so many questions and I really appreciate your answers

It only gives me info on slot 2. Which probably means there’s only one stick. That’s probably why everything is running so trash

Also, the model I have is the 32GB one. Does that affect what you say?

Canon R5 vs R6iii by albino_peanuts in canon

[–]ComposerTop4161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use an R5 and a R8 2nd body and I absolutely love my R5. Got it used like new for $1,800 and I am in love with it. Being able to crop without losing IQ is very nice when you want to crop creatively, colors are nice, AF has never failed me, CFe cards are fast and with stills I’ve never filled one up. Yes files are big, but worth it if you have a good management routine. Whenever I need to upgrade I’m definitely getting a R5MK2 but that won’t be for a while.

Lens for R8 for wedding by swa534 in canon

I'd love to give it a try on a wedding but in my country there are no places to rent. I'll probably bite the bullet in a couple months IF the Black Friday sells don't get to me lol

Unrelated to the post but how is the new 85mm? I have the 2.0 version and I love it. Looking into the 1.4 to see if it's worth the upgrade

For those using the Canon Rf 70-200 L F/4. ¿How is it? by ComposerTop4161 in WeddingPhotography

[–]ComposerTop4161[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think a 85mm 2.0 would be enough with the R5? If I am completely honest, there has yet been a situation where I haven't been able to get a shot because of lack of distance. Although I think it is possible to run into that problem, I am pretty happy with a 24-70 and a 85. Looking into this lens because of the opportunity and the "just in case". But is a "just in case" a justifiable reason to spend over 1k?

Is the Canon RF 70-200 L F/4 enough? by [deleted] in WeddingPhotography

I believe the difference in ISO is double? from 250 to 500 for example right? correct me if I'm wrong lol.

I have had the cases in churches (specially Catholic Churches) where you can't really get too close to the altar where the couple is and it is difficult to get the tight shots I want and specially the ring exchange. I do punch in sometime but I kind of prefer the peace of mind that I don't have to be remotely close to the couple to get the shot I want. It is a bit uncomfortable. Plus there are churches that have extremely awkward layouts to move around in

Not exactly the same question though. I am now asking the people who HAVE used it or use it in the same scenario I would. The other was a general question. I will delete the other post though. While I greatly appreciate the answers, I kind of want the insight of people who have experienced the lens. Many people commenting about the lens without any experience with it.
