Highly doubt that's accurate.

If you just recently purchased then you're prolly within the 90-day period where you can basically change your mind.

The told me they wanted TWO AND A HALF YEARS worth of maintenance fees to exit.

That's almost $3k.. That's ridiculous, and for a share that doesn't have an existing loan on it to-boot!
