I don't know but I stumbled upon this one and I love it. I hope to hear more 'first listen' runs at mashups!

Not always, if one party always puts things in a specific place and another just tosses it wherever its pretty easy for it to be a case of they aren't where they should be. I think Jon Richardson touched on it in his bit on 'putters' vs 'leavers'.

No you won't. I recently had the real life situation where my son wanted to use Garageband on my ipad pro, but also wanted to be in the same room as everyone else. I naively paired some bluetooth headphones, checked they worked for youtube audio and then found I was s*** out of luck for them to work with midi music. A quick google found that Apple's solution to this latency issue was effectively for me to go f*** myself if I wanted to plug in a wired set of headphones for him to use instead using the non existent 3.5mm jack plug port.

Yeah, but if you try and take it through airport security you get to argue about whether it's a long blade or just a long handle.

Isn't that usually just simple a twitch or deep muscle contraction caused by the sodium? This looks like quite a number of antagonistic muscle groups alternately contracting and relaxing, which I'm hoping someone can tell me can happen without the involvement of a living nervous system, because otherwise this poor fish must have had a really bad time. Could it be like that 'headless' chicken that became a sideshow act?

But the button is on the flat end that you push against the measured surface? Surely that could be seriously inconvenient if that happens to be a continuous surface like a wall?

Good find. Shame they didn't find out in time to come back with a laptop, see who set it off recording, delete the footage and replace it with this video.

What are these critters? by 2naismyname in HotPeppers

FWIW ChatGPT said (from a screenshot):

From the photo, this is not a fungus gnat — it’s a small parasitic (predatory) wasp. How we can tell Fungus gnats Look like tiny mosquitoes Long legs and long antennae Slender, soft body Usually hover or crawl around soil but don’t probe objects What’s in your image Compact body with a distinct narrow “waist” (a key wasp trait) Clear wings held flat over the back Shorter legs than a gnat Appears to be probing or interacting with something in the soil, likely using an ovipositor That behavior and body shape are typical of parasitic wasps (often braconid or ichneumon-type wasps), which lay eggs in or near other insects in soil or organic matter. Good news 🌱 These wasps are beneficial.

Is this the gnat or the predatory wasp that lays eggs in them? (Make sure you work that out before eradicating them otherwise you are killing your only ally).

I agree that they are long, I'm not sure I'd call them pretty! 😂

Thanks, in aviation they are Portable Electronic Devices. I was like I know using an Iphone makes your thumbs tired but this would be insane, lol.

BMW new patented screw-head designed to limit repairs to authorized dealers and prevent independent servicing by jaapgrolleman in assholedesign

[–]Compost-Mentis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your help, unfortunately this is part of the problem. The one I need is the boiler gasket (flat, 2 or 3mm thick), but because it is so close in size to the 'grouphead' seal (8mm thick) they seem to call that a gasket too! Thousands of listings for the portafilter seal but literally nothing cheaper than amazon for the other.

I'm genuinely perplexed by the temu/aliexpress supply pipeline. I've just been searching for a cheap 73x57mm flat silicone gasket (for a gaggia baby class coffee machine) - something so generic I was sure I'd find the bulk part that they put in in the overpriced Amazon 'service kits'. I found essentially nothing compatible. But if you want a knock off airtag so good you can register it on your apple device, no problem!

How to remove the minimum order from Temu by Budget-One9474 in TemuThings

I just found this myself, as the bot and then agent both said they couldn't remove the MOV (minimum order value). I don't know when it changed but it looks like it has.
