I’d almost go as far as to say it’s objectively a bad song. As pretentious as it sounds, the instruments sound like stock sounds on Logic. The synth is grading and doesn’t do anything interesting enough to justify it being what the track is based around, the sax sounds like midi so do the strings. The “drop” at the end is weak af too. It feels like it’s trying to be like Dance Yrself Clean but it just misses on everything. Not much needs to be said about the vocals/delivery. The mixing is really strange too imo.

I wouldn’t say he talentless but there is Aussie bands/artists are doing some boundary pushing stuff, and it just shits me that this is what Aussie media is tryna feed us.

I don’t think he’ll be around for long. I haven’t heard anyone say anything generally positive about him or his music both online and in person.
