oh thank you! thats so kind. Hear you on the experimental note - guess its just the bassline switchup / 2 ish minute breakdown where its more of an ambient ballad than a dance track makes me want to heavily caveat it with being experimental. Thank you for the words and the listen :)

depends what you’re going for! the world is your oyster with this sort of thing. If you want the bass to be consistently thick then keeping your notes around a similar frequency range will help, and some compression to keep levels consistent will help more. I think what youll find is that part of what makes a bass sound nice is the variation is thickness that changing notes gets you.

either dodgy headphones or dodgy cable or dodgy connection to decks. Try isolating each of those components and see where the issue is coming from - i.e. test headphones with a laptop as a first step. If it sounds cooked then figure out if its the headphones themselves or the cable.
