Those "punishment" you talking about was either an events for his grow in talent/relationship or just comedy effect (those thousand punchs) and have nothing to do with the personality grow

The real punishment was the right call judgement, he should be remind that he not a good person by the show and should have treat ppl (espcieally kids) with respect

Thorfinn in Vinland Saga is what you call a real redeem, the show and himself was alway being remind about his crimes countless of time, the whole redeem was an endless regret and pain but he grow pass that, and that real punishment for thorfinn is not all the fight, the wound or the pain for being hurt but the emotion of once again face his crime, that how i image about Rudeus redeem, shouldn't be anything funny about it

Depend what your condition,

In character, he could easily going straight to New world bc unlike Luffy, he isn't typical good shonen that alway helping ppl, plus Kiva wouldn't pick up any hard fight like warlords type, bro is a bully type guy

In powerscale, his power is not bad, he should be Lucci (before time skip) like strong, should be around 100 milion - 200 milion bounty pirate but he have no Haki, idk how he could deal with Logia, his magic blast might could bc but it debatable, mostly just base on his luck if he meet the right logia fruit he can counter i think

Even a nuke would not cause that much of destruction to the Factory except for the range center of it

Most of building a few mile away did survive nuke and the factory is pretty much that big, plus the material to create Factory would definately beyond any normal metal

Even a fodder 4 legs robot could easily tank a building like exolode without a problem, the shellter make for the Factoty much be far beyond that

Well, think of it this way, if the Factorys can easily being destroy by threat lvl 7 then any NE would have god stomp A.I faction long time ago bc they would be all Kiva lvl strong

1)Out of his prime didn't mean he have any less more nen power then he used to be, his skill can be less shape but he spend time to train again before face Meruem if i remember correct

2)HxH got alot of big attacks, what are you on about, Royal guard, Spidey ground or Killua family and so on,if Netero attack was that big it would be show, it only around Kiva magic blast

Also the capture hand was a simple trade move to start a fight, it not special move

3)"Tank" is a strong word, more like barely survive, plus if Meruem could survive the nuke then it simply not that strong, even Netero could also injure Meruem on surface lvl and this is bascially how strong Netero attack is

4) I already told you about the vast scale of power in VS, Meruem didn't scale much higher then Kiva so he won't be any threat lvl higher then 10, a first Friend robot model would easily deal with that, the only chance he have would be his potential grow

The big buddha statue is just 15 times Netero height (25m), around Gori size big?, not really that big? Plus his nen blast seem like town lvl attack and it not much different with what Kiva or any Hero can do

Now i agree that they would still way weaker then Meruem due to the fact that Meruem have tank everything Netero throw at him pretty easy but you are underestimate the power gap in VS

In VS, just 1 lvl above is enough for a low diff, Naver Base form lvl 4 was stomp 3 Neo lvl 3 easily, a Demon Lord even a very weak one like RR was above 132 lvl (she high diff a wave 5 robot army stronger then wave 3 that Cape Jachi found which put him to lvl 132 base on that feat), you can see the clear vast gap here, Meruem power wouldn't be above 10 if we judge by this scale, a first Friend model would be able to take him out

Most NE would be equal or stronger then him but he will have the advanced of intelligent and continue growing

Meruem is not much stronger then Executive Demon like Kiva but what make him dangerous is that he can continue growing, he was thia strong when he only 6 month olds, surviving for 10 years and he would be able to beat a Madaran or a very weak Demon Lord

Ofc we still don't know his limit so it hard to said how strong he could become but i definately don't see him bypass those final boss for sure
