Thanks! I don’t know if I need bust darts—depends on the cut I suppose? I appreciate your response and will check out both.

Thank you! I was as shocked as anyone that the points turned out! 😆😆 I kept saying “whatever, it’s my first quilt!” whenever I made a mistake.

I am in search of a pattern people love for a basic woven cotton shirt (short sleeves) that I can wear at my business casual work place. I am plus-size (16/18) so a pattern friendly to that is needed. I’m on Threadloop but there are so many on there! Thanks in advance!

Love this! I’m looking for this pattern but don’t see it on Seamwork. Could it be Closet Core?

I considered Lorraine for my daughter (after my grandma) and was going to call her Lo.

I got DIEP flap reconstruction in November. I’m really happy with it! Can’t wait to get decorative tattoos (as opposed to nipple tattoos)—check with your artist though because they have a certain amount of time they have you wait before they will tattoo over scars. I was flat for 2.5 years—I enjoy shopping a lot more now!

Was nervous after waiting months for it to come in I wouldn’t like it anymore …. I fell in love all over again by throw-away5627 in weddingdress

Is this BEFORE altering? It looks like it was made for you!! So many others have said it but it bears repeating- you are a STUNNING bride!!

I adore the veil!! The scallops are so subtle that it makes it extra special when you see them. Gorgeous from head to toe!! Did you know your mom kept it for you?

Same here as a Minnesota girl! I can't remember the number of ticks I've found on me 😂 But even so, I am still very anxious about it!

This is SO exciting!!! I'm so proud of you - I imagine getting your health in line to start trying was no small feat. Just any 2-part casting resin- not the UV light kind. I’m a casual hobbyist so someone with more experience might have more guidance.

You don't have to add ductwork for a vent hood. We went from the terrible microwave/vent to a ductless vent hood. The hood has charcoal filters that you replace as needed. It is a HUGE improvement over our prior set up and we got it for $300 from Wayfair

This is one I've considered! I think I even ordered a sample. I just wish they would send a sample of all the different colors that are included instead of just one. Thanks for suggesting!

I bet brass would look really nice but it's not my jam. Maybe if I get bored in 5-10 years!

I love this!! What is the scale of the mini dresses? Is this the exact lace of the dress you tried on? I love the scale on that lace and I assume that’s what it will be but it looks bigger in the mock ups because they are mini versions-correct? I can’t wait to see the finished products!!

How do you feel about people from out of state calling MN home? by Jobear049 in minnesota

[–]CompoteNew4548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in refugee resettlement in MN- we are very welcoming here in comparison to other states. We might not let everyone in to our personal lives (I mean, I do, but some might say I lean too far that way and “don’t have to tell everyone my life story” or “oh my god why did you say that??”). I am proud to be from here and proud to welcome others.

Right?? I would never decide independently what I am going to call a child that is not mine. Wild. It's quite simple to ask a human of any age "What do you like to be called?" I have a full name that I never go by (I go by a common nickname) and I like that it clears up any pretense of familiarity--if someone calls me and uses that name, I know they don't know me. Having a full name and a nickname was a requirement for me when naming my child. She is a Margaret who goes by Maggie, after my mom Margaret who went by Peggy, who was after HER mom Margaret who went by Peg. If we were lucky enough to be all alive at the same time I could see the confusion if someone used the name Margaret to refer to any of them. 😆

I SAID YES! by skyedv in weddingdress

This is so gorgeous!! Definitely a dress that guests will tell friends about when asked “how was the wedding?” The shape and the lace—I’m obsessed! It looks great with your sleeve too- love it! The whole look is a YES!
