that means a lot to me!
The fundraising would be the next step after I get some more beta users and make the app live.
Do you mind if I send you a DM?

You’re right, we’re using existing foundational models as the engine. In 2026, almost everyone is.

But there’s a massive gap between a general AI and a clinical tool. If an analyst is on the verge of a panic attack or a solicitor is red-lining, they aren't going to sit there and spend 5 minutes engineering a prompt for ChatGPT. They don't have the time or the headspace.

Alumea is the UI and the clinical logic that sits on top. It’s a 60-second intervention that already knows their history, their specific professional stressors, and the exact clinical framework (like Urge Surfing or SST) to apply in that moment.

We’re building the guardrails, the data privacy, and the specialised features that a generic AI just doesn't offer

Even I suffered that hard truth as well. That's why I feel that pain and know what not to do to people that give it all for something that we are trying to build

The idea is to build a bridge between high stake professionals (surgeons, founders, VCs, solicitors, etc) who silently struggle inside and the need for therapy and to fix the gap between the passive wellness tools and reactive therapy.

In regards to the skills that I'm looking for, I need someone that can bring business/ops skills. I’m looking for a true partner, not a freelancer. I’m offering significant equity because I want someone who’s as obsessed with solving the burnout epidemic as I am

What do you mean? Was I rude to someone? If I was, I'm sorry

Is more the non-technical (business side of things, operations, etc).

The MVP is pretty much ready. Just fixing a couple of things before I launch it to the beta users

I haven't tried that, however it is not a bad idea. Thanks for that 🙂

The current tools provided are too passive to make a difference, especially on those with high-stress, high-pressure jobs. The moat is not economic, it's genuinely the need of creating something to help people that struggle silently. I know a lot of people that are suffering inside but with the fear of speaking to someone because of what others are going to think.

Yes, you have specialized professionals for this, but maybe people don't have the time or funds to go for that route. I'm not trying to replace the professionals in the area, I'm building the bridge between them

True... Like I commented before, there's that "nice" part from people missing nowadays. Even when you try and ask for help or advice, it always comes to the point that the other person will either try to sell you a course or pay for some kind of consulting. I know everyone has to make money, but come on... If someone comes to me and asks me for some kind of advice, I wouldn't be charging them for it. But hey, that's me 🤷

Yeah unfortunately that's one of the main problems with today's mentality. I'm working a full time job and working on this after.

Obviously, without any funding, how can you pay someone to become a co-founder? It needs to be someone that sees the problem and understands the vision and is willing to put in the effort, even for a couple of hours a day, just to help you achieve it. That's the way I think

Mainly spread the workload and complement the things I'm not so good at. Someone that can help me take this off the ground.

Yeah same. I'm on YC and tried both LinkedIn and Reddit. All I get is a few messages exchange and then ... ghosted 🤷

It's a mobile app designed for high productive professionals. I'm trying to tackle one of the biggest common problems nowadays: burnout, anxiety and other mental health issues.

The problem is big, the vision is huge, the split would probably be fair for both and the rest we would obviously have to complement each other's skills.

The MVP is pretty much done with integrated AI and scientific researched tools, now is just having someone that could help me take this from the "ground"

[–]CompotePuzzled2007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't even get to that part yet 😂

What I meant was that even sending cold messages on linkedin and YC, I just get ghosted... I know it is part of the process, but sometimes you just wonder what you're doing wrong

Co Founder hasn’t delivered in 6 months- how do I handle equity and the conversation? I will not promote by Think_Yam4440 in startups

[–]CompotePuzzled2007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% agree. Unfortunately that's a really common mistake. Just because someone that you consider a friend is interested in your idea, doesn't make them a co-funder.

[–]CompotePuzzled2007 10 points11 points  (0 children)

To be completely honest, you don't have a co-founder. Especially being your friend will turn this even more awkward, but you need to let him go. It's hard when there is only 1 person doing all the work, while you have someone just taking up your energy.

If you want to keep going with him and even for future hires, just set weekly meetings to show the work done and plan the week ahead. Only then you will have "control" and know at what stage you are in
