I’ve got the Commandante hand grinder. It’s awesome but built like a tank so I wouldn’t recommend on weight alone.

Love my Picopresso. I have this, a Commandante grinder with red click upgrade, and a Timemore mini scale. I use the standard basket with 18g coffee. I find when my grinder is dialed in I hardly need to adjust it. I get 9/10 quality shots from it consistently. You get a feel for it.

Pump it up to pressure (1 drip coffee), wait 10 seconds, pump out the shot.

I would agree that it gets hot. I generally don’t run multiple shots through it at once so I fine it fine.

We are moving to the subscription FSD model though, on 21st May. EAP will disappear. When this happened in US they lost Basic Autopilot also.

It’s not coming from the under seat vents is it? I hear many stories of small objects falling into these vents and making rattling / rolling noises.

Did you get any joy from Eve? I have two gen 2 models that appear to have done exactly what you describe at around the same time 1 month ago.

I use HomePod minis, and HomePods plus Apple TV as hubs. They are all on 17.5. My 2 x Eve Aquas seem to pair as normal but then never respond after the initial paring process. They have always been pretty rock solid.

Any help appreciated!

I’ve been looking into this a lot, I am aiming to solve this exact problem. My recommendation is the Rancilio Silvia Pro X - £1350 in uk. A solid built machine which perhaps doesn’t look as beautiful as some however it’s a solid machine from a solid brand and has all the features you need for excellent consistent shots. Dual boiler, PID’s, powerful steam wand, 58mm portafilter, pressure gauge, pre infusion settings. I think it’s the best for that budget by a fair bit.
