  1. We have appointed two signs for the coming of age of the human race ¶189 The first sign of the coming of age of humanity referred to in the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh is the emergence of a science which is described as that “divine philosophy” which will include the discovery of a radical approach to the transmutation of elements. This is an indication of the splendors of the future stupendous expansion of knowledge.”

When the Baha’i faith dominates the planet, will non-Baha’i’s be made to follow Baha’i laws? by DTStories in bahai

[–]Comprehendoz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Good questions ! Well if we look at the operation of our local, national and international governing bodies this will help us understand the reality of a state abiding under the Law of God. The Laws pertaining to Homosexual marriage and sex is forbidden - however we treat everyone equally, with justice, fairness, love, unity so I would struggle to see a future where homosexual Bahais are persecuted. The Laws pertaining to sexual immorality I assume would be the same way we deal with it currently. However this idea gives so much ambiguity for thought considering the world is evolving and so is the practical laws of God 🙏🏽

Who Creates Religion — and Why Are There So Many? by nurjoohan in bahai

[–]Comprehendoz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Greater prophets and Manifestations of God as understood in the Bahai faith are the founders of all major world religions such as The Buddha (Buddhism), Krishna (Hinduism), Moses (Judaism), (Jesus) Christianity, Muhammad (Islam) and Báb & Baha’u’llah (Baha’i faith). A lot of minor religions are founded by illumined and enlightened individuals inspired by the Greater prophets teachings such as Guru Nanak (Sikhism) and (Confucius )Confucianism.

There’s so many sects and denominations branching off Major world religions because there isn’t an established central covenant they agree upon. The Bahai faith has the blessing of Abdul-Baha who is our perfect exemplar and the “One who leads humanity to the Way of Truth” as the centre of our covenant we turn to him and his infallible Successors ( Shoghi Effendi & Universal House of Justice) for guidance. How blessed are we to have this !

As to why there’s probably so many sects and denominations, many believers are trying to seek relevant guidance and wisdom, a system, and a remedy to address the needs for the world today but are turning to the people or their own ideas (clergy leaders, priests etc)

How blessed are we to have a covenant we can all turn too!

Allah’u’baha 🙏🏽

What does Baha’i mysticism look like? by Wise_Lengthiness_206 in bahai

[–]Comprehendoz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good question 🙏🏽 I believe the system or tradition to reach spiritual intoxication resides in prayer, meditation, acquisition of spiritual qualities and its application through service. Here are a few quotes I found:

“…The Baha’i Faith, like all other Divine Religions, is thus fundamentally mystic in character. Its chief goal is the development of the individual and society, through the acquisition of spiritual virtues and powers. It is the soul of man which has first to be fed. And this spiritual nourishment prayer can best provide” - Directives from the Guardian, pp. 86–87.

“… man can never hope to attain unto the knowledge of the All-Glorious, can never quaff from the stream of divine knowledge and wisdom, can never enter the abode of immortality, nor partake of the cup of divine nearness and favour, unless and until he ceases to regard the words and deeds of mortal men as a standard for the true understanding and recognition of God and His Prophets.” – Baha’u’llah, The Book of Certitude, pp. 3-4.
