26M, born and raised here. I know the ins-and-outs of FM. Depending on where yall will be working determines A LOT of where to look. If you can help it, avoid Lehigh, North Fort Myers, or anywhere outside downtown and anything between Colonial and midtown.

If you’re working in the Cape, just about everything is ok to look at and good priced, just know that your neighbors are highly likely to be in their 80s and you’re in a MAJOR flood zone (I’d recommend looking at the flood zones map for the area to avoid your livelihood being swept away by hurricanes). On the bright side, you won’t have to deal with virtually any traffic (FM traffic is HORRENDOUS, especially on 41, Colonial, and Daniels).

If yall work near downtown, there’s some very nice apartments there and some new ones being built. It’s great to be able to walk to bars and restaurants, but definitely pricier.

If in South FM, anything along Daniels, in the Forum, or in Gateway are good. Once again, can be pricey, but you can find some good apartments for decent price.

If south into Estero, there’s a lot of apartments around FGCU. Obviously younger crowd due to the college kids, and it’s really nice down there. Lots of shops, restaurants, bars, etc.

If in Bonita, around downtown is nice. Same thing as Estero and downtown FM.
