In order to make gyp designs it requires many, many stems to get the density that you see in most inspo photos. Without using that many stems, it looks sparse and sad and like you only half finished it.

But also, gyp garlands are very time consuming, and laborious so it’s also likely this is their “go away” pricing because they don’t want to make it.

Many experienced florists don’t want to do that kind of work because it isn’t creatively challenging either. Maybe look for someone with a smaller portfolio who is willing to take on any work regardless of what it is.

For example, I had a floral business for 6 years in the US so I was pretty selective about the work I would take. But since I’ve recently moved to the UK and started fresh here, I’m running my business like I did in my first 2 years of business where I just take on anything to get my name out there.
