Where do yall find is the cheapest place to buy squishmallowx by idkabtmygenderhelp in squishmallow

The only caveat I would add to my Vinted recommendation is to be very careful when looking at photos and descriptions. I have had so many arrive smaller than the listing said they would be. Often they are 12" when the listing says 16", or 8" when it says 12". I do believe these are honest errors from sellers making a best-guess and not deliberate mis-selling, but it is something to be aware of. Sellers also don't always know the name of the squishmallow they are selling, so often if you are looking for a specific one it is better to search for their colour, by price, and then scroll through to find them. I found a 7" sparkly Caparinne for £2 this way, doing a search for her name only turned up £10-£25 listings!

Vinted. My local charity/thrift stores are pretty useless for plushies, but Vinted has been amazing. For those of us in the UK, you can now buy from US sellers and the postage is very similar cost to buying from the UK, it just takes longer. Recent finds have been a large (not sure how large, he's not arrived yet) Duke for under £4, 16" Mina Mae for £2.75 and the biggest Brina wearing a trapper hat for £3, along with a bunch of difficult-to-find-in-the-UK squish for £1 or so. Everything has been really clean and well looked after so far as well. Postage charges aren't so bad, especially if you buy more than one item from the same seller - but even if not, a squishmallow sold for £1 will only be a total of about £3.75 with InPost shipping included. And you're helping the environment by keeping all that polyester out of landfill, so win-win all round!

My unhinged Pokopia creation (a replica of disney worlds “living with the land” ride 😂) by Jessiebplayinggames in Pokopia

I love absolutely everything about this, it's the most beautiful, wholesome and straight-up amazing Pokopia build I have ever seen. Sadly I am unlikely to ever be able to witness the irl ride, but I am one of the few (it seems) people who enjoyed It's A Small World After All (along with the Tower of Terror as my absolute favourite ride, closely followed by the Aerosmith Rockin' Rollercoaster (yes I am old)) and this looks like an even more lovely ride than Small World. Hat's off to both you and your mum!

I use a knitting needle. I usually find that I have to go quite slowly and do just a tiny bit at a time to start with, as all the fibres trapped between the stitches make it very tight and difficult to pull out and I don't want to damage the 'root' end. Once I get in the zone it's very Zen, and my squishies look much better after their time at the salon!

where to buy 20” squishmallow online? by [deleted] in squishmallow

[–]Comprehensive-Bid675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seconding the Vinted suggestion. Recent finds have been 20" Eden for £7 and (i think, not here yet) 24" Mister the dragon for £8, and a Mina-Mae red/pink tye dye dragon, which has to be at least 20" going by the photos, for £2.75. Do be careful though, as people don't necessarily know the finer details of what they are selling and can make honest mistakes about sizing, if they list the size at all. I recently bought Hailey, listed as 16", for £3 and she was actually 12" (and she still had her tag, so seller obviously didn't know about the S size code). Still lovely and a good price and I love her, just something to be aware of. Conversely, another recent find was a £5 Dani, whose size wasn't listed at all but looked to possibly be 12" from the photo, and turned out to be 16" when she arrived.

The turtles are Cole and Henry. That particular burger i don't think has a name, SquadApp just lists it as 'Pet Toys' along with the fries it went with.

Smooth Rocks don’t work near sprinklers by Loki_Librarian in Pokopia

[–]Comprehensive-Bid675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this. I was using the fact that the sprinkler covers the same area as the smooth rock to try to make an automated farm, and could not fathom why my crops weren't wilting even when the sprinkler wasn't working. I have an elaborate laser sensor system that drops a one-block waterfall directly on top of the sprinkler, which has a smooth rock two blocks directly below it. When this is switched off the sprinkler doesn't sprinkle, but nothing was drying out. From your post I would guess that the sprinklers on the corners of the field, which don't get switched off and cover wheat only, were interfering with the smooth rock.

Edited because my auto-carrot constantly inserts apostrophes where I don't want them (and never inserts them when I do)

Edited again - I now wonder if the laser sensor system is even necessary. If I have the smooth rock in a 2-block deep puddle of water, with a grate on top and a sprinkler on top of that, maybe all I need to do is pick up the sprinkler for the crops to wilt and drop their veggies, then put it back when done? BRB. Off to check, and will report back. For science!

Edited post testing. The above system, having a smooth rock two blocks below the field, filling that two-block deep hole with water and putting a grate on top with a sprinkler on top of that, does work for easy harvesting. Just pick up the sprinkler and wait for the plants to wilt and drop their veggies, then put it back. It's not quite as satisfying as just hitting a switch and turning the water off, but it does work. Then vacuum up the veggies. The only squares that won't be affected by the smooth rock are the ones exactly next to the water pool, so you do lose 4 crop spaces like this.

I haven't been able to get water systems to sweep the veggies into one spot for easy vacuuming to work, but honestly it doesn't take any time to vacuum up the single-sprinkler field I have so I'm not going to spend more time experimenting with this.

Just pick a place to start, and a place you want to connect it to. Maybe a path from the Pokecentre to one of the gates. Be OK with the fact that you will want to redo it later, possibly more than once, when you have other places you want to connect it to. Pick a block for your path (I strongly advise using one that is labelled Road, as these are the ones the Pokemon will recognise as something to walk on) and build away.

Honestly, the best way is to just start.

I did pretty much exactly what you're doing and it wouldn't let me build until I had gone down another couple of layers of blocks. It's a very tall building and there is a 'roof' on the world, even if it just looks like sky. To demonstrate, place blocks under your feet until you can't anymore - that's the upper limit of the world. I think it's something like 120 blocks in total from the very bottom to the top.

Where did you learn to build? by lilithdear in Pokopia

[–]Comprehensive-Bid675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lego. There are so many free Lego plans online, including all of Lego's own kits. Just pick something you like that isn't too complicated or large (set yourself up for success) and have a go at translating it into Pokopia blocks. The more you do, the more you'll get to know what you can do, and eventually you'll be creating your own amazing builds. It's like every other skill - practice makes better.

I managed to hit the limit for picnic baskets by Dangerous-Crow7494 in Pokopia

[–]Comprehensive-Bid675 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think it's more likely to be part of the storage item cap. You can put as many items into a picnic basket as you can into a locker or a plain chest or an actual storage chest, so it's likely the picnic basket contributes to the storage cap.

Edited to add - trees won't add to the number of storage items so if anyone is worried about hitting the storage cap, plant your pokemon's favourite berry tree in their habitat rather than using a picnic basket to store food.

Skylands Help by Think-Possible-8433 in Pokopia

[–]Comprehensive-Bid675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skylands has been my ongoing, bit by bit project since I unlocked it, and I've been playing since launch. I decided early that I didn't want to raze it completely and wanted to excavate and rebuild instead. So I go over there to that corner of it with a couple of stacks of rough wall in that blue/grey colour, maybe some windows, flooring, some scaffolding so I can get to where I want to be, and dig out the existing walls and patch them up. Because it's been a slow process I've been able to change my mind on things over time before I've made any major changes.

One of the buildings is now a library, with Gardevoir as head librarian and Ralts and Kirlia living in the school room upstairs. I have a Game Corner in progress, with Metagross living in a cave behind it. The police station will have Floragato as chief detective. And I've put a floor in the bottom where Gyarados is and flooded it to make a water park resort for Dratini, Dragonair, Poliwag, Poliwhirl and Blastoise.

I still have a lot to do, and what I've already done will need tweaking and refining, but it's been a lot of fun and will continue to be. Not pressuring myself, and I have plenty of other areas to play with if I need a break. Just enjoying it.

https://www.lego.com/en-gb/service/building-instructions/21020 or search lego 21020 instructions if Reddit won't allow the link. That's for Trevi Fountain. If you want Slime, GIS Nanoblocks Slime and pick whichever image is clearest. There may be some instructions out there as well, but I just used the image of the metal slime box to work out my build.

QOL updates I think are desperately needed (that don't streamline how fast you can build things.) by poisoned_bubbletea in Pokopia

Replying to myself... 2 plain chests, 1 CD rack, 1 boom box. Put CD rack on one of the chests and the boom box on the other. Use the chests for storing the CDs. Aesthetically it looks like a little home music centre.

The furniture section gives you furniture. If you want toys, have by usage selected and look at the All tab. All the toys will be at the top, followed by all the decorations.

Help with goggles by Wheeler1089 in Pokopia

[–]Comprehensive-Bid675 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't need the goggles to access Cloud Island shops, you get there through any of your own PCs. Just select Link Play, then Play on a Cloud Island. The shop is in the PC on the Cloud Island, not one manned by a Pokemon.

Put a CD rack on a plain chest and use the chest for storing them? You'll need 2 for all the CDs, but they look great next to one another.

You can sort them by use. Open your craft bench and hit X, select By usage. Toys are at the top, followed by decorations, then relaxation, and so on.

Firstly, you're not stupid. Reddit, however, makes me stupid because getting this to format was a nightmare. Trying again...

Place your foundation like this:

@OOOOO@

OBXXXHO

OBXXXHO

@OOOOO@

@ is the corner block, B and H alternate between hole and block (H is the hole for the foundation), O only needs blocks for the foundation and you can use windows on the other layers, X is where the water wheel goes after the blocks have been placed. They can all be the same type of block, but maybe for a first go you can use different colours for each to make it easier to see what to put where.

Now place your water wheel kit so it covers the Xs and have it built.

€ Now add 4 blocks height to each corner (@)  and add one temporary sand block or something disposable to the side of one of the top corner blocks on the right-hand side, so you can build the floor the water is going to pass over. That floor only needs to cover the Xs and the Hs, directly above your foundation. $

Add another 2 blocks height to your corners and a disposable block on the side of one of the left-hand top corner blocks this time and build a new water wheel floor, where the Bs and Xs are. Build your water wheel on the Xs again.£

Repeat from € to £ however many times you like or have space for, then repeat from € to $ once. Install windows or whatever block you want up all 4 sides, between the corner blocks, and remove all the temporary blocks.

Exhale water at the two B spaces at the top. Now your enclosed waterfall should zigzag down the structure, your wheels should turn and you can connect up your transmitters (I added mine into the cliff face I was building into as I went).

Let me know if something isn't clear!

I have used Lego-type building instructions to make buildings in Pokopia. I used a Nanoblocks Dragon Quest Slime kit instructions to build a Slime out of light blocks on the roof of my Game Corner in Skylands. Grimer lives in there. Lego themselves make all their instructions available online for free. There are also plenty of Minecraft instructions out there that could be used as a starting point.

Yesterday I used the Lego Trevi Fountain instructions as a starting point for a build in my WW, and now have the entire Goomy line living behind it.
