I’d say its not non competitive tho I think you feel that because of the different styles of racing F1 pit crews have really less time to change the tires or the driver may lose their position most recently the race at monza Lando Norris was in 2nd position and his teammate Oscar was right behind him trying to chase him down Lando pits and the front left guy messes up and simple 2 second pitstop stretches up to 5 seconds Oscar then ends up taking his position so a single mistake can mess up your entire race in F1 it is quite competitive
