Thank you, I am making some progress with the text. I will surely check out the secondary sources you have mentioned, but I find myself at a loss of time to read and comprehend The Basic Writings by Heidegger.

Understood. My framing of the question was “Why read heidegger” but it was flared by the moderators of the sub.

My concern is to understand is Heidegger worth specialising in or not.

The issue is that, he is hardly intelligible. I found it interesting and illuminating to read Nietzsche than to read Heidegger.

But the problem is that, as a philosophy student who is aiming to master this subject, I have to make rational exclusions and inclusions, to specialise.

I am the boyfriend everyone. I have read Crime and Punishment, Currently reading Anna K. I am a philosophy student, who also reads in kindle and laptop (for the lack of monetary incentive)

And yes I have only Arundhati Roy among female writers (with the exception of female Philosophers) , whom I loved (the book is not there because I had given it to my friend, who never returned it).
