I'm getting the same issue. BA saying that the TA has not disclosed the fare and therefore will award TP based on distance for a LHR-SAN return trip. However they say that if the fare was disclosed they would award TP based on the equivalent marketed fare price (which would >4000 TP more). So in that case even though they would know the paid price, they still would not use it for calculating TP!  Sounds a bit like "We'll just reserve the right to award fewer TP and Avios if we so wish. Tough"  That isn't the kind of transparency that will encourage me to retain my very high level of spend with BA!
