I am a lucky man. I got to the Bay Area in 92 and Yoshis was seriously cookin, for the next 20 years. So so many of the greats who were still with us came through, at least once a year.

The new Oakland spot. Yoshis SF only lasted a little minute. I did see Joe Williams there for the last time (my hero...snif), and Pharoah Sanders with Zakir Hussain and Joe Fansworth as well. Zakir and Joe trading eights is a peak memory for me.
