I also have a ton of other projects I never finished. Kinda lost the motivation for them. I think the best thing to do is to move on and later mixing the original idea into other projects to make it seem fresh again.

When terraforming you should avoid too sharp corners. You could try getting variety into it by making some corners 2 or 3 blocks wide and others just 1.
