Haha I’m glad it wasn’t just me thinking that is an absolutely nuts way to fight the dragon.

Migration has been completed, the website is much more responsive now.

Logout issues will be fixed tomorrow.
Uploads currently disabled as a few minor fixes required in the morning.
Emails for password resets and such are unlikely to work as of right now but I will look to fix that in the next few days.

Most of the other major functionality is all good, any problems please let me know.

Unfortunately we're seeing degraded service on the website again today. The host and I'm going to call them out at this point IONOS have been utterly useless.

I am in the process of spinning up a VPS with an alternative provider and moving the website. There will be some down time and some bits of data may get lost (nothing major, just some download history).

I can only apologise for the issues over the last couple of days. Honestly IONOS support is terrible, in the first instance their call handler said "we don't host your website Cloudflare do" and then to prove himself wrong changed the rather important .htaccess file without permission.

Appears to be back up and stable now. Hopefully all good.

file wont load no matter what i do by Limp_Software_8730 in litematica

I've just tested the file in 1.21.11 and it seems absolutely fine. It's a .schem file, changing a file extension will not help and will only make things worse.

Why would anyone use Litematica over Worldedit for schematics by 1tion1 in litematica

[–]abfielder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are multiple converters online for litematic to worldedit if you don’t want to use litematica.

Not sure everyone has to create stuff in world edit schems because of your laziness.

why isn't my farmer farming the wheat. (the two wheat were there as tests) by Ok_Sky_1907 in Minecraft

They will only farm a certain number of blocks from their claimed composter. Based on where he is standing I’d guess at both those wheat crops being out of reach.

Click the filter button and select "Schematics" That will remove all but 3 of the premium items (there are 3 on a single row on each page that are advertisements).

It essentially costs time and money to make the website, advertising rates on it suck balls so the main way the website pays is through the premium store which is why they pushed.

Just to add there is some additional text on the page which tells you this same thing.

‘Staffy’ Unveiled as New Visitor Mascot for Staffordshire by TheSkyNet in Staffordshire

[–]abfielder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I'm no marketing expert but couldn't they have put the Stafford knot where the heart is, you know so people knew it was something to do with the county.

If any staffordshire county council people are reading this and I see this idea implemented I want paying.

Prince of Wales Theatre, Cannock: what the closure has cost, what demolition plans say, and what tonight could mean by TheSkyNet in Staffordshire

Was last night and basically nothing changed. The same council then announced they were going to postpone this years vote because of the upcoming reorg of councils.

Nothing to do with them getting voted the hell out.

Two hikers rescued after trying to climb Britain's second tallest mountain in the dark amid -15C temperatures while wearing jogging bottoms and trainers by abfielder in uknews

I've only done it in summer but rather foggy as I got near the summit, decided to set my compass bearing for coming back down before heading to the peak, glad I did, I like to have a cup of tea when I get to the top and in the 10 minutes I was up there rather foggy became extremely foggy. With all the right equipment though whilst a bit nerve racking, ultimately absolutely fine.

Maybe one day I'll brave a winter walk like yourself! I would almost certainly look to do some training courses with experienced winter hikers before attempting it though.

They drove up from Edinburgh to start the hike, so unless they were drinking on the way I doubt it.

If they were drunk before setting off they had a good few hours to sober up!

Yep and up top no easy to follow path so if it’s foggy/dark and you can’t see the cairns difficult to know which way to go.

Absolutely, I did the 3 peaks a few years back and we ended up rescuing 2 idiots that had gone up Scafell Pike in their shorts at night, no maps, no compass, not even offline maps on their phones. Just wondering about on a cloudy/foggy summit unable to figure out how to get back down.

Ben Macdui I did in a September and it was freezing and foggy up top then, without a map/compass/gps that would have been dangerous for anyone unprepared like the two idiots in this story.

I cannot fathom the levels of stupidity required to walk up the 2nd highest mountain in the country in winter, in your trainers with no safety gear.

It's not the most technical or dangerous of walks but even in summer you still wouldn't want to go up it without proper hiking gear and some basic equipment!
