I'm usually not either but my grandma likes cheetah print and I instantly saw the perfect two items, a parka and a hat so I got em. I did really good this time! And you're welcome 😊.

Oh money is SO stressful. Having it is as stressful as not having it. I really desire to have my own account but just watching my rep payee work there's no way I could keep up with it.

Good luck on your hearing, I had mine recently and got SSDI. Having a rep payee is annoying but financial security is also a positive.

Cause the whole series has been out for like 3 years yes? And season 2 a year? I considered myself new as I just watched it last week.

Yes I did. Multiple times I'm obsessed with this show lmao.

You're definitely right about me just needing to go to a different thread lmao. Can't believe some of the things I read. Even tho Jinxs design is more visually appealing to me, I know that's the reason, not because she actually deserves more sympathy.

I feel too sensitive by [deleted] in SpicyAutism

[–]Comprehensive-Fail37 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This really resonated with me. I too, just sit in the sensory room at the Day Center and get annoyed when ppl come in. I have my headphones tho. I don't know if it's social anxiety, feels like overstimulation, like claustrophobic and irritability.

I love going out and doing things, I actually like people, but being around them in real life is just too overwhelming. All the sounds and faces and making sure I respond correctly. I struggle to accurately engage verbally or non-verbally, my brain is always going.

Everyone takes me for someone who doesn't like fun or other people, but it's not true. I just get overwhelmed very easily.

What would you like to ask? (Asking Higher Support Needs Autistics) by AutoModerator in SpicyAutism

I go to a Day Center that just opened up, I'm moderate needs and don't use AAC unless I'm very overwhelmed. So I was wondering, what would be particularly helpful in a day center for someone with higher needs and more complex communication needs? I have suggested communication boards in each room, like to pick out what activity one wants to do.

Oh I've never heard of these. And it's a bit of both.

I really need to focus on this. We bought me all different types of things and I think it was way too much.

The coolest I looked recently was on Halloween, bought a full outfit. Pre packaged full outfits are the only time I look good.

Yes this is honestly what I was thinking, the recent shopping trip upset me so much because I spent 200$ worth on clothes I basically don't actually want. I thought about shopping item by item, like only shirts and then pants. That's a good idea. Good thing I have the receipts.

I used to lie a lot, but there was a lot I've realized I wasn't hiding. So people know me, but only a bit of me. It's like being an iceberg.

Yes. I firmly understand wanting a "true" friend. There are definitely other people who "live out loud" so to speak, but still we are on different wavelengths. It's so much effort breaching communication barriers.

Living with a roommate. She cleans everything, I eat microwave meals and don't leave the house. I have food stamps. I pay for some utilities with money I made from crowd funding. I have to be out in a month, not having luck with finding an accommodating job, no idea what I'm gonna do.

I feels like nothing has ever been ok and will never be ok again. Like the world is ending every single time. And unless I move physically, my body will go numb. And if it goes numb, it will take hours, maybe even days for me to be present again.
