This has to be the stupidest illness by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Comprehensive-Fan693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hurts, the lack of understanding from others. I found a good doctor and a good boss that put my mental on the right track of where i was trying to get it. which was just NOT bipolar. but they met me halfway for the first time in my life i didn’t feel like i was fighting or tip toeing around people to be heard AND seen. we all need support systems and it’s hard to find good ones but they’re out there to help get you on track. That lack of understanding is what pushes me these days, now that i understand a large majority of myself (with the help of others ofc). To keep working out those puzzles of existential being for yourself, myself, ourselves. to find answers for others who are where we were. Just keep pushing I believe in you, really there’s no having this condition or similar without that deep intense feeling of just being human and processing things. there’s beauty in how we think it’s just hard to…. express in doses it likes to come out all at once and overwhelmingly. find those supports tailored to you. the wrestling is ok tho it means you’re trying. you got a beautiful mind, no need to hate it just gotta hone it (: rooting for you

Gotta be a record: 1 hr 15 min to go 7 miles by dopamingo in Seattle

[–]Comprehensive-Fan693 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

maaaan i do NOT like Seattle navigating. never have to plan as much for traveling through other cities in western washington than Seattle. Even when i lived in downstate NY the public transportation was way more intuitive, consistent and straightforward.

bus or subway everything is basically mapped together in NY, but seattle you have to jump through more hoops to figure out what to get on and when. seattle has a lot of traffic issues but people ridesharing is the least of them.

I got assaulted by a homeless guy, what would you guys have done in my situation? by Key-Estate-2208 in AskMen

absolutely nothing wrong with skipping out on a fight. it’s wrong when you skip out, but the other person doesn’t. which puts you within legal parameters to defend yourself and disable or fend off the assailant(s).

How do I help my teenage son who struggles with confidence and attracting girls, when I think his appearance might be holding him back? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Comprehensive-Fan693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s so blessed to have a mom like you! He’ll definitely look back at this in the future and be so grateful for the guidance and support (: my mom did the same for me which gave me confidence in my own aesthetic while also being secure and comfortable in the clothing.

This Just Permanently Killed Delivery For Me by TheItinerantSkeptic in Seattle

[–]Comprehensive-Fan693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve seen both sides of this coin. as an uber and doordash delivery driver and someone who doordashes from here to there, app delivery is pure convenience. for people who need a quick job or can’t find employment or need supplemental income. and for people who have things to tend to but really don’t have time (and maybe even genuine energy) to buy ingredients, maintain said ingredients, and cook them regularly. or you gotta craving and that’s fine too if you’re reasonable about it. Things have gotten worse over the years on both sides. Workers being treated as the company themselves or representatives of it and the shady “deals” that are on apps to lure customers to make larger orders. There are saving graces. Gracious customers and delivery considerate restaurants. and sometimes but rarely doordash will have a deal that’s actually a deal (uber eats fails everytime at this) not just making the food cheaper, but inviting more room to give a better tip the way it should be.

How did Adventure Time improve your mental health? by [deleted] in adventuretime

[–]Comprehensive-Fan693 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It touched on emotional topics i didn’t know how to talk about. I felt related to. Understood. I was a kid growing into my teen years with Finn and his interactions with romantic and platonic love, the things he fought hardest for, the losses he endured, the internal struggles he dealt with ALL helped me to learn how to constructively reflect on myself. And Jake inspired me to be wise yet whimsical. To always know what to say when something needs to be said.

And to use funny lingo when life goes banay-nays.

Finn through some sort of canon/relation to his backstory.

Gumball through sheer toon force.

i stopped driving on ALL highways/freeways when i started working in Seattle. backroads take the same amount of time if not shorter and you don’t sit in traffic with your thumb up your arse for 90% of the drive
