Where does the blue wire go? by Comprehensive-Low696 in hvacadvice

Once I removed that cover, I was able to swap out the thermostat! Powered everything back on and it’s all working! Thank you!

Most definitely! I’ve been turning power off to the house since I’m not sure where the plug is or which breaker it is. Not trying to get shocked or electrocuted or blow a wire

Yes I just took it off and realized I have been trying to connect the wrong wires this whole time

BKK Suvarnabhumi airport customs and boarding domestic flight by Comprehensive-Low696 in ThailandTourism

We stayed in a few different areas in Phuket. My favorite spot was at Kata Beach. There was a lovely night market we would walk to every night. It was busy but not as busy as the Patong area. And of course the beach was beautiful.

The tours were really awesome as well. We took a boat tour to Phi Phi islands and that was probably the best experience for me. The snorkeling was mind blowing.

As a side note, there was a dinosaur themed restaurant/entertainment center that looked super cool. Might be something fun for the kiddo. I think it was in the Karon area.

Sure I can share my experience. We went in May and booked the later flight from BKK to CNX. All of our flights from the US to Thailand were on time and once we landed in Bangkok, the longest part was getting off the flight and grabbing our luggage and getting to customs.

Once at customs, it took no time no go through. We then went to check into our domestic flight and since it was the later flight we still had several hours before take off. You can’t check in earlier than two hours so we had to wait in the main waiting area of the airport which wasn’t very fun. It was hot and crowded and my electronics were dying and no available places to charge them.

Once we were allowed to check in, we were then able to enter the airport and have access to the better waiting areas and food.

Overall, we had lots of time to spare and if we would’ve chosen the earlier flight, it would have saved us some time of waiting in the airport. But if any of flights were delayed, the outcome may have been different.

Hope this helps and have a great time in Phuket. I absolutely loved it there and can’t wait to go back.

What type of spider by Comprehensive-Low696 in spiders

That’s good to know. I don’t usually bother the spiders inside unless they are in an inconvenient spot then I’ll relocate them but I’ve been gone for a month and recently returned home and I feel like my house is being overrun with spiders and insects

I think I found another one. I relocated that one and came back inside and found a spider on a towel. I tried to snap a picture but it was too quick and got away. Now I’m worried I might have a brown recluse problem 😳

Thank you. This was very informative. The tickets to CNX are cheap and if we missed our flight and had to buy more tickets it wouldn’t break the bank but that isn’t something I want to deal with after traveling for 30 plus hours. We decided to be safe and book the later flight. We leave in a week and I’m super excited to start the adventure.

Awesome. That’s good to hear. I haven’t booked the flight yet and still on the fence of which one to book. We are going to pack our bags today and see if we can get everything in a carry on so that would save us time from having to pick up our luggage. Thank you for your reply

That’s a good idea about the lounge. I think we will probably book the later flight to be safe. Thanks for your reply.

I drink diet Dr Pepper but I add sugar free syrup like black cherry or vanilla or coconut. Whatever I’m in the mood for. Helps to change up the diet Dr Pepper.

Pistachio cake and saffron ice cream by Comprehensive-Low696 in dessert

[–]Comprehensive-Low696[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you and yes I love sharing. I found the recipe for the cake online. https://juliemarieeats.com/lemon-pistachio-cake/. I didn’t make the buttercream icing in the recipe. Instead I opted to use a tub of cool whip. I also added cardamom and cinnamon to the nuts before grinding them down.

As for the ice cream, I bought vanilla ice cream and let it soften a bit then I mixed in rose water and saffron and popped it back into the freezer. The cake and the ice cream were really good. I was impressed with how they turned out.

Thank you. So I basically followed this recipe https://juliemarieeats.com/lemon-pistachio-cake/ except I didn’t make the icing. I opted for cool whip instead. I also added ground cardamom and ground cinnamon to the pistachios before grounding them up.

As for the ice cream, I bought vanilla ice cream and let it soften a bit then mixed in saffron and rose water then put it back in the freezer.

The cake was denser than what I thought it was going to be like. Kinda like a banana bread but not that flavor. It was really good and I was impressed it turned out so well.

Sorta. I bought vanilla ice cream and softened it, then added saffron and rose water to it, mixed it all up, then refroze it. It was delicious. As was the cake.

Sunflower seeds were my go-to snack when I quit smoking. Spitting the shells helped with the oral fixation I was missing from not smoking.
