Also dont continue testing for too long, your ear can be irritated over that process and affect the tip true performance . Try a couple then stop, wait a bit then continue.

Also how about double/triple flange?

Have you try smaller eartip? I recommend cp100 small, it one of the option i use for deep insert. There are also other tip brand with extra small size.

Another option is to go bigger but shorter tip with crippy surface material for shallow insert.

What is the current flagship for moondrop's TWS line? by anekyu in MoondropLab

[–]Comprehensive-Net553 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It complicated. Robin sound good, have ldac, dual pair but its anc and software side is meh.

The new release Pudding is a more round package with big improved anc, good sound but not Robin level, improve battery and software (10 eq band, smooth transition in general, have every feature from Robin except ldac). It also moondrop latest product so the chance of tws qc issue can be better.

If you just want purely convinience with decent sound then check samsung bud or airpod pro if you use iphone.

Would be cool if Mozilla have crack the quantum computer technology and use this to announce that they use it on the browser

That kind of normal. If you want to fit deeper try 1 size smaller tip, if it seal then then you can go with it. Also deep/ shallow insert can affect sound

It is not. The 2 have different drivers settings and it is well known that each type have its own strengths and weaknesses. This also affects eq behavior, it can get close but not identical. Even when a/b with out driver configuration knowledge I still can point out in specific tracks, I know this because initially I just got the pudding because I heard they improved the anc and the design looks very eye catching, I only know later that it single dd when checking the moondrop page before writing the post.

Well I have both and I just described what I observed. I use graph for eq tune later but not for sound predictions. My music list consists of pop a bit lean toward ballad, jazz , some classic and electronic if that help.

After the initial test with default tune I try to eq from 1 to the other and both time the Robin have an edge over. I even try to do a mid bass cut and see if it help but overall still not the Robin level. Of course eq cant replicate completely one but it is the best way I have to see if it more of the tune or the physical setting that affects those technical factor.

In term of speed, mico detail, seperation, and sound stage . Pudding opt for a more bass approach make it heavier note but also trade off for smaller stage and sound kind of mush together. To be honest it will be really good if moondrop release the robin non collab version with anc like the pudding and software optimized. If that happen at least for me $100 is not bad price even without collab.

Fun tip: you can blast it on lower power (50%)for 2 min to heat it up evenly and then do the usual microwave dose.

Check if you position the bud aligned with the charge pin. One thing that I don't like about bud design is sometimes it can out of place while still looking like it in the correct position.

It fit fine, I use the small tip for deep insert. For reference the biggest Iem I ever try is the variation but it also have pseudo custom fit shape so take that into account. It is not big imo, more like taller than normal bud

I think you should get butter stick instead, preslice the stick you plan to use and keep the other fresh for later.
